What is the mind of Christ and how do we attain it?

The surrendered life Does bring peace / blessing from God. And, of Course, it would be genuine. And it Is sort of a covenant between a person and God. It's being done in our heart. Romans 10:9 - 10 "that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness , and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. vs 13 for who soever calls on the the
name of the Lord shall be saved." And the rest of that passage is worth spending a minute reading. vs 14 vs 17 says Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

that's a very negative concept of surrender. That's only done if a group is ambushed // no way out. And often time in that situation the group is killed in the process. And often time, the soldiers were issued cyanide capsules to be taken in case of emminent capture by the enemy. Because the enemy has a horrible way of turturing their captives.

God scourges those He loves!

Ring a bell?

God Disciples those He loves. Big difference between 'scourging' and 'disciplining'.

Believing is apart of pisteuo, buts it's not believing in God's word, it's believing that God is accepting the surrendered life.
There is NO such a thing as a "Born again" Christain who is surrendered to God without being surrendered to his Word! You will never find anyone like that who belongs to God who is not surrendered to God's Word who is God!!

The surrendered life must be genuine. If we have any expectations of something in return for our daily surrendered life, that's not a true surrender
This is not true!!! Anyone who says they are surrendered to God without having an expectation of receiving anything from God does not belong to or know God!!

Heb 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

If there are no results in knowing God than what is the purpose? Anyone who does not "expect" anything from God when they come to him has no "faith" at all for anything.
No faith = no salvation. Whatever is not of faith is sin!

wow

Hebrews 4:12
For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart.

John 17:17
Sanctify them in the truth; your word is truth.

John 1:1
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

Psalm 119:105

Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.

2 Timothy 3:16-17

All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be competent, equipped for every good work.

Matthew 4:4
But he answered, “It is written, “‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of God.’”

The scriptures you've presented only apply to those who have received the Spirit of Christ, due to a life of pisteuo, " a personal surrender to Him and a life inspired by such surrender."

No pisteuo, no surrendered life, no life supporting the fact that our lives are not ours anymore means no Spirit of Christ yet!

No Spirit of Christ means no Christ. No Christ means His word is not ours! No word of God means the promises in His word are not ours!

Pretty simple deduction.

When people say they are not familiar with true saving Faith ( pisteuo) what other conclusion is there?

God's word being part of our relationship with Christ comes towards the end of the journey, or after the surrendered life has been accepted by God and then made His by sealing in the Holy Spirit. NOT at the start as the mistranslation has mandated.

The God of the Bible is not a vending machine where you put in the money and out comes the blessing.

Expectations of anything in return for a surrendered life is not a surrendered life, that's a business deal!

I agree, God doesn't have to give us anything!! he's not our sugar daddy if anything he aspects from us, to surrender our lives to him. luke 17:10 it is our duty!!

I'm not saying He won't, we just can't expect anything for Faith, for fulfilling NT pisteuo.

If a Continually surrendered life is genuine and He is perfecting that surrendered life, we will expect even less. And eventually, nothing.

This is what he is perfecting, our Faith and faithing.

Then what is the point?!

On the flip side -- look at Colossians 1:14 / 19 "In whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins. vs 20 For it pleased the Father that in Him all the fullness should dwell, and by Him to reconcile all things to Himself, by Him, whether things on earth or things in heaven, having made peace through the blood of His cross.

And then there is chapter 3:12 - 17.

And then Philippians 4: 4 - 7.

@Faither -- Psalm 62:8 "Trust in Him at all times, you people; Pour out your heart before Him; God is a refuge for us."

Psalm 37: 3 Trust in the Lord....
4: Delight yourself... also in the Lord
5: Commit your way to the Lord
7:Rest in the Lord

We have to agree on what the requirement to receive the Spirit of Christ is first. Not the other way around.

Your trying to use God's word to legitimize the mistranslation you've been trusting in.

you sound almost like a works based salvation having to do something??

if you want to learn how faith comes about look at the parable of the sower and the seed.

Matthew 13:18-23
“Hear then the parable of the sower: When anyone hears the word of the kingdom and does not understand it, the evil one comes and snatches away what has been sown in his heart. This is what was sown along the path. As for what was sown on rocky ground, this is the one who hears the word and immediately receives it with joy, yet he has no root in himself, but endures for a while, and when tribulation or persecution arises on account of the word, immediately he falls away. As for what was sown among thorns, this is the one who hears the word, but the cares of the world and the deceitfulness of riches choke the word, and it proves unfruitful. .

Romans 10:17
So faith comes from hearing, and hearing through the word of Christ.

I'm not going to repeat this thread, but all these things have been talked about already.

If your interested, go back and read the last 9 pages to get up to speed.

yes, and it will Continue to sound like a works-based salvation. :)

Compliments to the English mistranslation of pisteuo.

The Greek doesn't allow work and effort to be separated from pisteuo or saving Faith.

Pisteuo is 95% courage, 4% tinacity, and 1% everything else! Work and effort is part of "our" surrendered life. Just not the work and effort you need it to being this discussion

Why not just appreciate God's Word.
