And WHY would anyone want to destroy eternal security of the believer.
Scripture says that one of the 'jobs' of the Holy Spirit is the indwelling of the Holy Spirit -- He automatically comes to indwell us. He seals the believer until that person is safely with Jesus Christ for eternity. Take a moment to look at Ephesians 1: 11 - 14 but especially vs 13 - 14.

There are lots of scriptures that destroy that belief but Christian people refuse these scriptures and insist they are not talking about real christians but they are.

If we live right we simply dont have to worry about it one way or another.

@Dave M. -- your comment -- if we live right we won't have to worry about it -- That bothers me. Almost sounds like a works-based salvation. What is Your salvation based on?

if we live right we have evidence of Grace and proof we are saved, we are born again.

My salvation is based on Jesus Christ dying for my sins, Thank you Jesus. through faith by grace of God I am saved.

I not only say I believe with my lips in my heart I believe, which is shown to the world by the light Jesus cast out in me.

Well -- today it's been 4 months since my husband passed. Daughter and son living next door are Not 'pulling together' very well at this moment in time.

Lifting them and you up in prayer.
My hope in your telling is that your husband is a believer. That being the case, I feel for your loneliness, but rejoice also in the comfort that as Paul said "We are confident, yes, well pleased rather to be absent from the body and to be present with the Lord."

Praying that your children not only pull together in this trying time, but also become a comfort to you as well.
