saved vs eternal life vs the resurrection vs judgment

No we don't. That's when we get into trouble.
How do you know the dead can't speak?

1 Sam 28:15; Then Samuel said to Saul, "Why have you disturbed me by bringing me up?" And Saul answered, "I am greatly distressed; for the Philistines are waging war against me, and God has departed from me and no longer answers me, either through prophets or by dreams; therefore I have called you, that you may make known to me what I should do."

Samuel spoke when he was "dead".

Matt 17:3; And behold, Moses and Elijah appeared to them, talking with Him.

Moses and Elijah talked to Jesus after they were "dead". Well certainly Moses was dead.

Lazarus (even the rich man) spoke after they were "dead". Abraham spoke after he was "dead".

Is Jesus dead? Do you pray to Him? I do. He speaks to me all the time. Is He "dead"? I guess that means He can't speak.

We do. Everything we read, we interpret. That's what reading is. How do I know the dead can't speak? There is no evidence, anywhere. If one was to claim that the dead can speak they would need to present evidence. Objective evidence. An interpretation of an interpretation of the Bible is not evidence. Presenting these passages isn't evidence. It only seems like evidence to you because you already believe that the dead can speak.

Samuel didn't speak. Saul was speaking with a woman , a medium, who was possessed by a demon. The Scriptures tell us one of the reasons that Saul died is because he sought a demon.

13 So Saul died for his transgression which he committed against the LORD, even against the word of the LORD, which he kept not, and also for asking counsel of one that had a familiar spirit, to enquire of it;1 (1 Chr. 10:13 KJV)

If you read Mathews account of the Transfiguration you'll find that Jesus called it a vision. Peter indicates that it was the 2nd coming.

Lazarus and the Rich Man is a parable. I've addressed this passage. One thing to keep in mind is that Jesus was speaking to the Pharisees. He had said that He spoke to them in parables so that hearing they would hear and not understand. So, the question we should ask is, could the Pharisee understand that the parable was about the afterlife as Christians today do? I think we can agree that they could have understood that. If so, that should tell us that that's not what the parable is about. The whole purpose of the parable was to tell them something in such a way that they didn't understand it.

No, Jesus isn't dead, He was resurrected. He's alive.

JOHN 3:35 "THE FATHER LOVETH THE SON AND HATH GIVEN "ALL THINGS" INTO HIS HAND.
JOHN 6:39 " AND THIS IS THE FATHERS WILL WHICH HATH SENT ME, THAT OF ALL WHICH HE HATH GIVEN ME I SHOULD LOSE NOTHING, BUT SHOULD RAISE IT UP AGAIN AT THE LAST DAY .
