My apologies for what harm I may have inflicted upon you.I quoted scripture to you, I did not state any of my thoughts at all, and yet you have the gull to accuse me of something I never said,, I actually agree with what you said,,,
Repent does not mean confession, it means stop sinning, so if someone confess there sin for 20 years and is never freed from the bondage of sin have they truly repented ,,,, its between GOd and Ravi I would never try to assume I know what only God know,,, but I know what his word says when it come to the sexually immoral,,,that why I quoted the scripture,, I also know what his word says about repenting,,,,,,,, true repentence leads to freedom of the sin that has enslaved you
I did not equate repentance with confession. Repentance is a change of mind, a turning from rebellion and back toward God, and while we are admonished to flee sin, no one lives perfectly sinless - no one. That is precisely the reason we are exhorted to confess our sins whenever we do sin and to plead for God's great mercy. All we have sinned, some have sin that besets, and all we who are in Christ know that our sin is wrong. What we do after the Spirit convicts us of our sin is change our minds about it and turn from it. We need to repent from sin every day, even until the day we die, for it is not only our deeds in the flesh, but our bitter and sinful thoughts also.
