After this round, I will try to move to the next level, so to speak but it is important to look again and think again and answer again, if possible with a different answer [rather than repeating the last one(s)!

OK. Let us suppose that you are a manufacturer of one of those 'things'.
To add some extra 'dimension' let's also take into consideration that there are other manufacturers who manufacture similar items. Even perhaps make one of those items that you chose and you [the manufacturer] does not - you make a similar one to the one in the picture.

If you like, you can also imagine you are a supplier of the item, which would/could mean it is something different again to you!

So, there you have a few questions to 'answer' and remember that there are no correct or incorrect answers.

Given some of the things to look at, in the examples i gave, what is it now? How would you 'see' it? What is it to you? [a manufacturer] There are quite a few different 'angles' to come from, also.

after this, there are some other 'questions'.

I would probably give it a name like "wonder brick" to draw people to buying more of them. I would see it as a source of income, because it would become a product for manufacturing.

The bricks of many nations.

Still see a cobble and cement building block

The rocks become important when manufactured when before it was just a rock.

sorry for the delay and thank you for your patience!

I was sort of 'hoping' that others might rejoin us and help me in what i am trying to 'discuss' - yet to be revealed!

Sometimes i get a little fuzzy wuzzy ... a bit stuck between a rock and a hard place ... and multi tasking while falling asleep, etc etc etc....

Second answer:
A-D I can pickup and use with my hands by myself.
E and F I'd need machinery or a team of men or some mechanical advantage to use it.

Third answer:
If I was a mfg of one of the items, say item F, I would say that I make big rocks into littler rocks for heavy civil construction, and its my way of "making a living". If there was a competitor that made the same blocks as me, I really wouldn't expect them to be very nearby, probably a couple of counties away, at least.

I don't think I would consider the other items unless I needed them. I would look at all of them though with a more commercial perspective seeing them as a means to make a living for those that do business with them.

A = could be a loaf of bread, or a poor quality misshapen brick
B = a building brick made of clay
C = a good quality brick, or a facing brick
D = a hollow grey brick
E = either a piece of rock worn by water or by weather extremities, or maybe a lump of dough
F = hewn rock or a slab of concrete

What would a psychologist think of that conclusion I wonder?!

- They appear to be all building materials. Yet they are made for different purposes, different kinds of building: for they would not all knit together. They each one stand alone, independent of the other, and like would have to be put with like for them to have any use to each other. They each have a different function to perform.

- Believers in the Lord Jesus Christ are referred to as living stones, aren't they? Being built up together into a building, a temple, an habitation of God in the spirit. ( 1 Corinthians 3:16, 17, 19; 2 Corinthians 6:16; 1 Corinthians 3:9; Ephesians 2:20-21 - Luke 6:48-49; 1 Corinthians 3:10-15 ).

- In Exodus 20:25 we are told that an altar was not to be made of hewn stone, for the lifting up of a tool upon it would pollute it. Yet hewn stone was used for the construction of the temple ( 2 Chronicles 32:11 ).

Well @Br. Bear seemed to want an "outside the box" answer, so I thought to provide one.

Granite (sic) that you'd have to be strong to wield "F" as a weapon, but those Jews hurled larger ones than that off of Masada !!

Hello Br, Bear,

You suddenly took off, and I have got behind.

A - this brick has got character. It looks like a step, leading somewhere, I get the feeling that if I step on it I will see something which is just out of my sight now, my thoughts are leading upwards, and not down, up to light and infinite possibilities. It is tactile. I want to touch it. It's shape makes me feel that others have walked on it before me.

It is rough cast and an unpredictable shape, it is not uniform. It it were a person, it would be a non-conformist. The shape of an independent person, not fashioned to be one of the crowd. Yes, I like this brick. It makes no apology for being a brick, a brick with attitude maybe, but a brick. Unpretentious and solid, but full of invitation.

OK Br. Bear,

I am a manufacturer of bricks, and in the brochure I have sent to you are examples of the bricks that my business produces. You can see by the illustrations, that not all are bricks, but are building materials: for as you are aware, within the industry there are many requirements to which these bricks are the solution. Even down to dry-stone walling and coastal sea retention structures. Yes, we do not confine our services to the architectural!!

The' homestead' style traditional building, nostalgic of the past for which brick 'A' is suited: provides the 'homespun' look of days gone by; which appeals to so many, especially in these days of change. Though very often they are used as facing bricks, the others providing the main fabric of the building. For it is the 'look' that is required, the substance being standard to all manmade dwellings, only the exterior providing the necessary appearance required. If building a 'town house', then the facing brick used, would be that of illustration 'C', providing the crisp lines required for the character of the building.

Appearance is not everything though is it? There has to be substance, and each of our bricks, though fulfilling different functions within the building structure are 'sound' and 'strong', providing the durable and serviceable fabric of the building. The foundation is a brick lined concrete base on which the building is anchored.

* Though Brick 'B' is a test-tube holder in disguise, included to cause confusion.

In these days of metal and glass, and futuristic development, I am so thankful for the humble brick.
I await your response with anticipation, and a modicum of impatience to know what on earth you are doing, Br. Bear.
