SignUp Now!The Catholic Church Finds Its Foundation when Jesus gave to Peter the authority of the church. By saying whatever you allow on Earth will be allowed in heaven Etc.We know that the Levitical priesthood was done away with, and we are not into the vestments you speak of.
Nowhere do you find the foundation of the Catholic church in scripture, it is just not there.
There has always been churches that were separate, even before the 1500's.
May Jesus fill us with his love and wisdomWe are not into buildings , altars, pulpits, non pulpits, or whatever, we are just into the word of God.
I would partially agree and disagree with you on that.May Jesus fill us with his love and wisdom
Yeah there are many churches that are. I can go to just about any Baptist Church any Methodist Church any Pentecostal Church all of them and they're all very much involved with everything that I had said

Vestment wise, I have not see that very much if at all, at least in the Pentecostal circles I have been in, and most are not dressed in priestly raiment in Pentecostal, or Baptist circles.
May Jesus fill us with his love and wisdom.Mat 16:16-19
(16) And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God.
(17) And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven.
(18) And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.
(19) And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.
Peter confessed that Jesus was the Christ.
And what does the word say about Christ ?
1Co 10:4
(4) And did all drink the same spiritual drink: for they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them: and that Rock was Christ.
Both the word "rock" in Corinthians and Matthew, point to the Greek word Petra, which means a mass of rock, so the rock that the church is built on, refers to the one Peter confessed which was the Christ, which he is this mass of rock.
Now the word Peter in the Greek means a piece of rock, which is way smaller than a mass of rock.
Was it only Peter that was said that he would have the power to bind and loose ?
Mat 18:1
(1) At the same time came the disciples unto Jesus, saying, Who is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven?
Mat 18:18
(18) Verily I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever ye shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.
All the disciples were given this, which includes all the church.
According to the word, what is our only foundation ?
1Co 3:11
(11) For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ.
Most do not wear robes, but rather suits, or in some cases casual dress, I have never seen robes in a Pentecostal assembly, nor in the very few Brethren or Baptist, that I have acquainted.May Jesus fill us with his love and wisdom
They don't have to be exactly matching but if they're wearing any kind of robes, then they are wearing vestments.
Absolutely nothing to do with Catholicism here, it is denominations that bring division, we need the word of God, and get back to the word.May Jesus fill us with his love and wisdom.
Exactly!!!
The Catholic Church the foundation of it is in Christ. The Eucharist is the foundation of the Catholic Church.
Jesus said to his apostles, lifting up the bread and blessing it take this all of you and eat of it. This is my body.
And then taking the cup giving it the blessing he said to his apostles, take this and drink for this is my blood.
On the road to Emmaus Jesus joined with his apostles and they did not recognize him. And even though Jesus used scripture to teach his apostles about how the Christ would have to die for the sins of the world. They still did not recognize who Jesus was even though they said it was like a fire burning within them. It wasn't until Jesus blessed the bread that they recognized who Jesus was.
“And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people.
For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.”
There are many things to consider, Jesus' birth itself is not wrong, but nor is it a commandment, sometimes people make a doctrine out of Christmas.May Jesus fill us with his love and wisdom
Well you guys can have fun with all that bologna.
Me and my family on the other hand will celebrate Christmas and the birth of Jesus.
I just have to say if you can't celebrate the birth of Jesus then why celebrate your own children unless you're a bunch of hypocrites.
