Does the Bible support Women Preachers? ( Debate -- Long video)

It may be convenient, but true in many respects, nonetheless. No different for Catholics who attack Protestantism, also without looking deeper as well. It's funny, the church I go to has never addressed Catholicism from the pulpit. It has happened in some of the Bible classes that I've attended, many and varied in topics, but usually due to questions being brought up from those who considered/identified themselves previously as Catholics and were trying to reconcile both teachings. For different are the teachings found in each.

Personally, I don’t think Catholics are any more or less flawed than anyone else. They’re just people who sometimes rely too heavily on human leaders for guidance that’s already given in scripture, which can lead them astray. Whether you call them Pope, Preacher, Priest, or anything else, people are often too quick to follow those who speak with confidence rather than the truth found in scripture.

When it comes to being one-sided, well, this is a Protestant site after all. But the same could be said for a Catholic site, unless they simply viewed someone as misguided, or at best, a naïve little brother who doesn’t know any better. lol I’m not sure which is worse—the open hostility or the condescension each side shows toward the other.

Anyway, best not side track this thread anymore then I have done already! :( If you’d like to keep this discussion going, I can copy the posts and start a new thread that’s better suited to the topic and less off-track from this one.

Please consider that the New Testament was written during one of the most violent times that the Jews have ever experienced. In fact, this was a time that is similar to the 1930s with the holocaust of the Jews.

During the Roman seizure of Jerusalem in 70 AD, an estimated one million Jews died from violence, famine, and execution, with another 97,000 sold into slavery.

during the time the New Testament was written the Apostles were not sending women to confront and engage a violent, barbaric world of gentiles who had such a grip and control over the Jews to even force the Jews to eliminate any religious uprisings among themselves .

it was more of a protective measure to keep women safe from a harsh environment and not send women tromping through a violent world where death and violence was the daily life and even ultimate fate of many of the Apostles and followers of Jesus - extending even to today where millions of Christians are killed over a few decades.

an average 12 Christians are killed for their faith every single day

That’s one Christian every two hours

also, please remember

that there were a at least 6 total female prophets in the Old Testament

1. the unnamed Female Prophetess in Isaiah 8:3
2. Anna
3. Mariam
4. Juldah
5. Noadiah
6. Deborah


The New Testament mentions 4 female prophets: as - the four daughters of Philip the evangelist.

also

Joe 2:28 I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh ........ your daughters shall prophesy,
1Co 11:5 all women that ............ prophecy


Also…. please consider ---- it was not a worldly, spontaneous and natural ability for women to travel abroad, traversing and trekking – wandering alone through the deserts, wildernesses and throughout the dangerous mobs of men, to give the prophecy of God to very many people outside of their own close circle of friends and family.


There were many sexist and prejudice people with preconceived judgments and opinions and manipulating agendas

= there was a whole world that was filled with abusers who raped and manipulated and even kidnapped and sexually sold women in sex trades / sexual slavery - the moment that a woman stepped outside of their circle of protection.


Female prophets in the Bible - were always used and valued in the role of working for God by staying in the in a safe environment

- and God used the MALE prophets to go around the entire countryside, across deserts, through wildernesses and on long paths and even lifelong adventures - that include all the details in entire multiple books of the Bible - and to serve with Kings and leaders in a time of war and in dangerous situations -

where the males usually were situated and needed and could sustain and endure withing this violent environment for a lengthy time before eventually being killed and tortured to death in the end or spend the rest of their lives hiding and running in fear -

- and women did not expect to reasonably serve in these capacities. and were more protected and secretive in their service of prophecy and speaking in the assembly, to kings and to enemies and dangers as we see for the males.

in the Old Testament the priests were always " males " men

but lets look at what these priests were mainly doing and what their main duties required as priests.

When the first census of Israel was recorded in Numbers Chapter 1


there were counted a total of 603,550 total Israelite males / men aged 20 and older (fit for military service) from all twelve tribes

with this information it is estimated that there were around 2 million Jews total counted included all men, women and children


The tribe of Levi was counted separately as 22,000 males - PRIESTS

these male Hebrew priests served the other 2 million Jews in offering blood sacrifices that included butchering and slaughtering and handling the entrails of all the sacrifices.

this was a task that God ordained for the males and did not wish women to perform this bloody and gruesome task.

LOL Aren't you glad neither one of us is God? We don't have to judge...We only have to believe the Word, and the Word gives example after example of women preachers from Genesis to Revelation...and God blessing them....then of course Romanists get born again, truly just like the rest of us...Muslims, JWs, Buddhists, Pantheists, Atheists..... Sin is sin...so....Salvation is salvation...Jesus died ONCE for all sin and sinners

Actually we are told

Judge not according to the appearance, but judge righteous judgment.

Why is it the Christian thing to cry don't judge?..

I presume that many have been sheltered n they need not to use any or had to perhaps..

Personally I am gonna watch one n see how they roll before I allow them in my home and in my life..

Lord tells me gaurd my heart and to turn from Evil..

As far as woman preachers like I've stated before if one gotta ask if they can or should then they should be told no.. Cause when Abba tells His children to go we go we don't ask man woman or child for permission or if it is allowed Abba is above all..

I believe many just lack simple common sense because the Word just can't be that easy so to say per many..

Abba isn't complicated nor the author of confusion many are just so puffed up in pride they can no longer see the simplicity..Like the Lord says we must go to Him like a child and allow Him to lead..

It does NOT say women can be.
No verse in context to support your "claim".

I would suggest you post the verses that say "wahmans can do EVERYTHING" while men cannot.
The requirements for Pastor/Preacher in the church are clear.
The fact you have a problem with it, as do many is a problem.
When the Creator says, "No." and you people think you can decide otherwise?

"Be the husband of one wife (faithful, morally loyal)
→ 1 Timothy 3:2; Titus 1:6

Women can NOT be husbands any more than a man can be a "wife".
The requirements are in the male definitive.
Fun fact: When God made Eve, he made her AFTER Adam. He brought Eve TO Adam.
Adam named her. She did NOT choose her name.
God shows the order of creation from His authority. Not yours.

God pattern for the home and church leadership is thru males , but many wish to put cultural mandates and customs over word of the Lord

Respectfully of all you are telling us, i wish to point out, we look at Jesus as the Author of the " WHOLE " Bible (which He is) and not just parts of the "Bible", and in recognizing this, we need to accept this one true, there is purpose not only in the writing of it, but also in the Bible's scope, makeup and orchestration of how the Bible is set up.

But I believe like the Lord said about many forgot the bond of brotherhood...is what I was pointing too.. with so many denominations it has caused separation between people instead of bringing them together.. sadly

I am good.
I am a Gardner. I am growing dandelion.
I eat them. You've always k own that dandelion removes toxins and I don't have toxins anymore because I eat the living leaves. In the morning when the Dew is there, I eat leaves browsing not to kill the plant. This is from the dandelion THAT IS LIVING. It is the LIVING CELLS of the dandelion that heal you. Please share this so that others can shed the toxins in their bodies. Then their blood will be pure.

I believe that we all share the O neg parts. But it's inactive.
We have toxins from our food in our blood.
You get them out by eating the dandelion. Find one and eat a few leaves when the few is present so it is cleaned with living water. Only the LIVING PLANT will work. Those in stores are DEAD. Do not disturb the plant. It is there to help the soil. Just eat a few leaves each morning and more as you desire it.
Earth is depleted of minerals.
Hammer in a coin to thank the plant. She will feel the power of the minerals as the metal is part of the earth and you give it to her. You will see her happiness.
We are dying because the soils are depleted. Test it yourself.

Oh awesome I truly ed growing anything but a green thumb I don't not have n hubby was very ill these past four yrs he has crones..I just do the best I can with what we have available..I've always wanted to try dandelion tea just hasn't came to passe yet perhaps one day..
I started the natural ways of healing a few years ago.. there is of course a story behind it..
Me personally I stepped away from the medical community about 9 yrs ago they had me at 30 pills a day almost n then shots n liquids on top of they were giving me a liquid which was equivalent of giving me a lobotomy.. except the meds didn't make it permanent..

Anywho I am long winded at times I hope all is well!!

Ahh I may go n see if I can get down to the stream of water..idk if I'll be able to start looking down there any time soon but they should be some what cleaner then those where the people take animals to relieve themselves.. perhaps I can find a plant at home Depot
