This was another thread I started that got me booted. Thank God Chad is more tolerant and accepting of these things.

The flood was regional. NOT Global. CRI and their "scientist" are deceiving people and driving people OUT of Christianity over this nonsense. They are literal 6-day creationist. It surprises me that people can't figure this out by applying some measure of common sense to this.

If Noah were to bring every living creature that existed globally it would take dozens of arks. I'm sure God's Spirit was involved in the gathering process but remember. This includes male and female of every living thing, including birds, animals, creeping things/reptiles. AND - gather the food to sustain these critters.

NOW! ADD Dino into the mix and you have an outrageous theory that makes no sense.

Another thing is their size alone would have instilled so much fear in people that there would be some record of them walking the earth at the same time as man. The Behemoth is a water ox and the Leviathan is likely symbolic of an evil end-time entity.

Dinosaurs existed in the pre-Adamite world and were destroyed after their useful purpose was done. Then God re-created the earth into what we see today and created Adam and Eve at that time. It just makes no sense these Christian Creation Scientist get away with pushing this stuff. This is how a literal 6-day creationist perverts the creation account to cover up multiple contradictions and the end result is even more ridiculous contradictions.

And of every living thing of all flesh you shall bring two of every sort into the ark, to keep them alive with you; they shall be male and female. 20 Of the birds after their kind, of animals after their kind, and of every creeping thing of the earth after its kind, two of every kind will come to you to keep them alive. And you shall take for yourself of all food that is eaten, and you shall gather it to yourself; and it shall be food for you and for them.

Thus Noah did; according to all that God commanded him, so he did.

Do you think it was necessary for God to bring in two six thousand pound elephants into the ark when two two hundred pound elephants would do? Do you think God would bring in a full grown dinosaur when a baby would do? It makes no sense because you're not thinking

The flood was regional. NOT Global
Aren't we finding fossils all over showing oceans were everywhere at some point?

One thing that I find difficult to explain is if all animals exited the arc and spread out from there, why are there unique species in remote islands like Australia and Madagascar?

In my opinion, the Earth could have been one land mass at the time. It was in the days of one Peleg that the Earth was divided. That was after Noah. If that's true then the animals would be able to reach any part of the Earth

The flood was to kill all humans except for Noah and his family. Since people in that day would live hundreds of years, we need to picture a close knit community. Mankind is only 6,000 years old, that is a fact according to scripture. So, if the flood happened around 2,348 BC to 2,472 BC, that would mean you had Adam passing only 600 years prior (4,000 - 2472 - 930 = 592). I would imagine that everyone knew each other. They attended thousands of 'church' type services together. They had many get togethers. Nobody wanted or needed to go too far out. As such I do believe that a regional flood could have killed all. But it could also have been global but with not the same water level in all places. We need to remember that the purpose of the flood was solely to kill all humans except for Noah and his family. It was not to kill all animals. So, yes it is very plausible that many animals and insects survive without being on the ark.

With regards to dinosaurs on the ark and the age of the earth. It is not plausible that a T-Rex sit alongside a lion on the ark when Pro 30:30 says this ''A lion which is strongest among beasts, and turneth not away for any''.

The dinosaur era is real, despite concerns with carbon dating. They are finding real fossils of really big dinosaurs, fact. We know for certain that mankind is given 6,000 years before the seventh day, meaning mankind cannot be older than 6,000 years right now, but we do not know for certain how old the earth is. The most interesting verse to consider is Gen 1:2 'The Spirit hovered over the waters'. It suggests that the earth had a flood prior to Noah's flood.

Now, a cruel dinosaur age is not something God Himself would be involved with. When God is control there is no evil. In Eden for example the lion lay with the lamb. Nor would He ever be behind something as evil as evolution by natural selection. So I personally believe that satan and many angels fell long before Adam and Eve. They would keep themselves busy on earth. That involved breeding dinosaurs and what not else. Even today, if we look closely, we can see that fallen angels still have things to do / keep themselves busy with. God is truly amazing. Even the wicked who hate Him and what is good, still have a life they can live.

Conclusion:

1.
Mankind is max 6,000 years old. - Important fact because of accountability from high intelligence.
2. Earth older. No clue how much older. - Not important at all.
3. Dinosaurs before Adam, linked to fall of angels. - Important fact as God is not behind any evil.
4. Evolution by natural selection completely false - Important fact as God is not behind any evil.
5. Flood could have been regional or global. - Not important at all.

I think you misunderstood what I said. I'm saying dino wasn't on the ark. I'm saying the flood was regional - not global. And please stop with the 'not thinking' baloney. You don't have to stoop that low like the infamous KinfJ.

Of course it's important whether the flood was regional or global. Big difference there big guy!

Lol, Farmer, you can't just say 'big difference', you need to give a reason for why you think its important.

Personally I have faith that the bible is the word of God. My focus is on the gospel and my relationship with Jesus. Details about how/when he created all that was created don't matter to me.

I do realize that Genesis is a big obstacle for non-believers who tend to throw out the entire bible because they reject things like Noah's flood. For that reason I find threads like these are very important. Answering objections to the book of Genesis in a credible way can help some lost people come to Christ.

OP is wrong.
He puts God into a box and makes assumptions and states the same things others have done.
If it was "regional" and "everything was covered to the highes mountains" and with a MAP, tell us how did the water stay in ONE region?
HUH?
People would've recorded a "bowl flood".

Descendents of Noah's family left the area and every major ethnic group has their recording of it.
Fun fact: All the animals that exist today did NOT exist back then.
You wouldn't bring adult versions. DUH. You'd bring babies and juveniles.
You would NOT bring marine life. DUH.
You would not bring insects except to FEED the animals that ate them.

Funny how these "people" think they're "special" and have it figuired out.
All of the Bible is true, recorded events, or none of it is.

Some things are figurative, some things are literal. Jesus is the door but doesn't have hinges and a doorknob. Other examples are less clear cut.

And I would say you are wrong.
A global flood makes no sense. The reason for the flood was likely to kill the giants. Even so we know at least one survived that David slayed. The area the flood occurred in the lowest area of the world. You do know that, right? The shores of the Dead Sea are roughly 1,410 feet BELOW sea level. You can go to WIKI if you don't believe me.

So yes there is kind of a bowl there!

Again, if Noah were to bring every living creature that existed globally it would take dozens of arks.
God said it was global.
YOU are wrong.
No, it would not. It's ok if you don't have the correct information.
Wiki is a good tool BUT it is wrong.
You trust in man, I trust in God.
There are people smarter than you, I, and others that work in areas that deal with the Bible.
Fun fact: God does a lot of things that "make no sense". You're not going to make even the TINIEST dent in knowing Creation.

Do you believe in "evolution"?
That you and your family and so on came from "soup"?

Humanity will always "argue" about this.
God's Children (Christians) vs monkeys.

You're in denial of the sea level at the dead sea? You're a fool. God said it was global? You're even a bigger fool - you are an idiot's idiot! Then you say I trust man and you trust God. That's a typical stupid person's cop-out. Go to the Ark Encounter, you'd fit in quite well there with the little dinosaurs he has there. Is that why there were civilizations that went untouched at the time of the flood? The Dead Sea is the lowest place on earth - but that doesn't matter to an idiot. I didn't get my info from WIKI - I think it's time to say goodbye once again. A global flood would require 19 to 21 arks. But who says you have to wherewithal to figure that out. You're nothing but an idiot to ask If I believe in evolution. I do believe you're an arrogant full-blown idiot.

For you to ask if I believe in evolution, I say fluck you and it's time to say see you later. And while you're at it I want to be banned from you idiots especially with the illustrious Bruce Leiter here. Hey Chad, please ban me.
Call me whatever you want.
You're here to start drama and cuase problems.
God tells us what to do and how to avoid people like you.

Wow! Why are you so angry?

what are they going to eat when they get off the arc?

they need hundreds of pounds of vegitation a day

I have a very unfavorable opinion of 'Christians' anyway! This Medic Bravo guy included.

Just think. This man is telling us that Noah's flood was global, but he and many other believers don't apply one bit of common sense to this. It's not very difficult to figure out that for Noah to put two of every kind of animal on the ark and seven pairs of the clean animals and flying creatures THAT EXISTED GLOBALLY would take 19-21 Arks! Some of these people even claim Noah put dinosaur eggs on the Ark knowing baby dino's wouldn't fit!

Answers in Genesis and the Ark encounter are abominations. They believe Noah put Dinosaurs on the Ark! Go there, they have baby dinosaur statues outside of the Ark. This in my view is an abomination. Again, there were civilizations in many places that went untouched at that time. Then, the man says is it some kind of BOWL? The answer is YES, it is! The area of the Dead Sea is the LOWEST land area and sea level on earth! There are no fish in it and it's about 8 1/2 times saltier than the ocean. But again - that doesn't matter to an idiot in denial!
Unfavorable?
1. You've shown you're not a believer. Fine. If you want ANY credibility, then you can and MUST understand what God has said and what we believe.
2. God has done countless things that "don't make sense". We're not forcing or suggesting you MUST accept it. DLDR: Learn to see/think things from another point of view.
3. You don't know me anywhere near enough to make an opinion about me. Regardless, irrelevant to the topic.
4. We invented the word "dinosaur". It means "big lizard". Hollywood has wrongly and moronically decided what "dinosaurs" are. Alligators and crocodiles are "big lizards" = dinosaurs. See! They're not all extinct.
5. Which is it? 19 or 21?

6. Which of these "civilizations"? Can you list any with certainty? No.
7. There's no fish there. There's also know Sodom and Gomorrah there anymore. Ah, the origins and end of the LGB+ in that area.

This is for anyone to read.
Since farmerjoe thinks insulting people is an "argument", making baseless statements, and lies are an argument I doubt he'll watch the video or be open to learning the truth himself.
