Welcome to TJ, Clara. We're glad you are with us. I hope that you have a Bible. If not, there are online Bibles you can use that will help you.

The Bible is very clear on your questions: "If you confess with your mouth 'Jesus is Lord' and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart you believe and are justified (made right with God), and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved." (Romans 10:9-10 NIV)

It is impossible for us to earn God's love and forgiveness. And because it is God's nature to love, He makes His love available to us for free.

And I am free indeed!!!! *dances*:singing:
God loves me and I am accepting His Love.
Clara, you can be free too!
I, too, have been feeling that way as you said, but not now!!
I am learning more about God's character and He is Loving, Compassionate and Forgiving!

Just rest in His Love and trust Him.
Once you trust Him, you will know you are guaranteed eternal life with Him forever!!!

1Th 5:9 For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ,

Hi Clara! Our sins are judged in Christ and it is in His imputed righteousness that I have access to the Father.
Take a look at the following scripture (red emphasis mine)

1Jn 5:12 He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life.
1Jn 5:13 These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.

If we understand that we were never worthy; if we understand that this eternal life is a gift from our Lord; if we understand that it is only by faith in Christ that we stand then we may have peace with God knowing that Jesus Christ has redeemed us from what we truly deserved.
It is not about what we can do as we could not make our own way.
It is about our Redeemer and being found in Him by faith:

2Co 5:21 For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.

1Co 1:29 That no flesh should glory in his presence.
1Co 1:30 But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption:

Php 3:9 And be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith:

hi,

welcome to the fellowship.

hope to see you always around.

May the Lord bless your stay..

In Christ love,

Hey Clara! To answer your question I just have this =P

Believe in the word of God as you should, and this will answer your question clearly. Since you say you are not feeling confident in the eternal life, all you have to do is believe in the word of God.

The word of God has this to say for you.

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. ^ (John 3:16 KJV) ^

So I can't stress just how much trusting your Bible and believing in the word of God is. Simply do this, and before you know it all your doubts will disappear.

Hi there Clara and welcome to your family here at Talk Jesus.

I am very happy to hear that you believe in Jesus Christ, that is a fantastic start for you, in fact I think you've done the main thing in your walk with God already, to believe. The belief you have now that Christ is the savior and the only way to God is your faith that you are putting into action.

To help yourself believe in eternal life you would need to....use exactly that same faith that you are currently using now, (to believe in Christ whom you have not seen), and believe in His words about eternal life too, with that very same faith my friend.

You were not saved (an no one ever will be) by the amount of work or good deeds that we do. However, as your faith grows, as you get to know and love God more you will naturally want to do things for the Lord, and there are a million good deeds that await us to do. Your works will be in conjunction with your faith, your works must not try to prove your faith, your faith will give birth to good works which your Father in heaven has already prepared for you to do since before the creation of the world, now that is seriously cool my sista, don't ya jus think LOL. Hebrews 13:16, 2 Corinthinthians 9:8

All of us have been saved by God's grace through faith in His Son Jesus Christ of Nazareth....Ephesians 2:5. And that is how we are to continue our walk, even when we fall flat on our faces or go play in the dirty mud that God has just cleansed us from. We get up and go on...BY GRACE THROUGH FAITH.....by God's mercy in faith....we repent, believe in the Powerful life giving Word of God that we are forgiven...1 John 1:9..we receive God's gift of grace (unmerited pardon) for us by faith...and we go on. So now you know that nothing you can do will qualify you for eternal life, this is what God saw and that is why God provided the onetime, alltime, pure acceptable sacrifice on our behalf, Jesus Christ of Nazareth, and what Jesus has already done, if you only believe, you will be made qualified, WOW, thank you Father God for such generosity, for such GRACE. Yeeha.

You will never become perfect while you live on this earth, but we certainly do strive for it and as we get stonger and stronger (only by the power of the Holy Spirit) to overcome issues in our lives, we all learn not to DWELL on our mistakes and even our willfull sins, Psalm 51 is a good prayer to pray. You too will grow my sister and learn (it is a process) to believe the Word of God more and more and by doing this you will be keeping your eyes on God and not your sinful nature. Hallelujah.

Keep the faith sister
Yours warmly in Christ

Hi Clara sister. All the above is true and solid to what is written in the bible. There is 1 thing if you haven't done so all ready is the sinners prayer. There is a couple ways to say it.i do it like this.

Dear Jesus
Please come into my heart. I need YOU. I am a sinner. Please forgive me. I want to make my life whole with YOUR help and grace and forgiveness. I surrender to you Lord my heart, mind and soul. It is yours. I accept YOU Jesus as Lord and Savior of my life. I love you Jesus my God. AMEN

When you say this,BELIEVE in your HEART that you just accepted Christ as Lord and savior. You will be saved and feel peace within your soul and heart. It is a very simple prayer. I have been in your shoes at 1 time or 2 Now I'm solid in the belief. I'm prayin for ya sister Clara:wink: your brother in Christ

HI All

Just remember that satan will also keep putting doubt in ones mind. He and his demons will put images/thoughts/doubts in your mind to try and deceive you.

But fear not! You have the power in Christ to bind them, by the Prescious Blood of Jesus. Our minds are battlefields - We must ensure that our Armor is strong!

Praise Jesus. Amen
