Just recently I saw a Christian comedian, Bob Nelson on a programme and I was laughing so much, and it was all good clean humour.
So afterwards I went to a Christian comedy website and discovered that there are many out there. They can be booked and perform for church outreach programms. I think its a great idea for new churches who are wanting ways to reach the community. I read that people have got saved at these events aswell.

What Christian comedian do you like and why? also what's their style of comedy, stand up? physical/visual? improvisation? etc.....

Calluna, I love them all! I got to hear Patsy somebody (can't remember her last name) in person a few years ago. She was hilarious! She had tears running down many people's faces. Tears of joy, and other kinds of tears too.

Besides the funny stories and jokes, she brought us to a place where she asked us to look inside and search for the ways that we "run" from God.
Behaviors like: shopping when we don't need to buy anything, sleeping too much, talking on the phone too much, etc.

She was really good. She autographed one of her books that I bought, and she even let me hug her!

I like Barbara Johnson and Anita Renfroe, too. I have "The Purse-Driven Life", by Anita Renfroe. I read it at night and start giggling in bed. That book kept me company a lot when my husband was overseas in Iraq.

Anita says she can judge a woman right off, just by the kind of purse they carry. It's hilarious. And she has a wonderful testimony that she weaves in and out of the book.

Love,
Dreamer

"A cheerful heart doeth good, like medicine" so says the word of God. And it is true. Nothing can substitute for a good rib shaking laugh. And there is no joy like the joy of the Lord.
