A girl in my youth group

Hi all
Ok so here goes my story (of sorts). There's this girl in my youth group which I can't get out of my mind. She has been on it ever since Youth Camp last year. We keep exchanging stares in church and there was one time when the night before I was dreaming about meeting her on the train and just talking to her all the way throughout the journey AND the next day, I really did meet her at the train station !! I mean that was really awesome and we just talked throughout the whole journey, like in my dream. I was totally speechless when I saw her that day. I'm not sure if this girl really likes me or not because everytime there is youth service or in church, we would have eye contact at least 2 or 3 times.

What should I do ?

The best way to know what to do, is to ask Jesus what to do, don't you think? That's always the best.

A good thing to learn early on is to always ask God what to do with your life, in that way, you could be sure after a few stumblings and standings that you are led by God and not by yourself.

Reading the Bible, praying and going to church and Youth groups is all part of it, but the main thing is conversation between you and the Lord.

If you are sincere and ask God what to do, He will give you an answer. Either by thought, through another person, a dream, many different ways, sometimes even through His own voice like He talked to Paul and Moses, you never know.

Pray about it, think about it, read the Bible and make sure your answer which you received lines up with God's Word and you'll be fine.

My advise is, try to build friendship where you can have time to have coffee with her and know each other a little more better.

I think slowly things will take you both to the level you can discuss openly.


Pray and ask the Holy spirit to give you wisdom on this

Be guided by the Spirit. Don't jump into things, wait on the Lord. You are young and you have a lot ahead of you. Ask God to prepare you to be the best person that you can be.

pray for her and then maybe eventually with her. Get a spiritual relationship before anything happens. And remember she is your sister in Christ

Paul had to speak to the church at Colosse (and to us) about acquiring these qualities because we don't come out of our mothers' wombs with them hard wired into us. All of us (young folks like yourself and old folks like me) get caught up in this thing of thinking that we need all our desires to be fulfilled quickly.

I have learned the importance of living life one day at a time. Be concerned with your future and everything involved in it, but keep both feet planted firmly in today because, in truth, today is the only day you're alive. Yesterday is gone and tomorrow isn't here yet.
