A look at Isaiah 6:1-7

Let's look at Isaiah 6:1-7, and see what it has to say to us. In the year Melech Uzziah died, Isaiah had a vision, and he tells us of it very vividly:
....The Serphim called to each other "Holy, Holy, Holy (Kadosh, Kadosh, Kadosh Adonai Tzeva'ot) is the LORD Almighty, LORD of hosts, the whole earth is full of his glory"
At the sound of their voices, the door posts and thresh holds shook and the temple was filled with smoke, "Woe to me" I cried "I am ruined" for I am a man of unclean lips and live among a people of unclean lips and my eyes have seen the King, the LORD Almighty"
The one of the Seraphim flew to me with a live coal in his hand, which he had taken with tongs from the altar...."See, this has touched your lips, your guilt is taken away and your sin atoned for" (Isaiah 6:1-7)
Even Isaiah, the great Prophet of old recognized his need of atonement for sin, He was God's instrument to bring his Word to Am Yisrael. To preach and teach Torah and a Torah based life style, but even he admitted to having unclean lips, in other words, he admitted to sin.
But let's look at the altar. As we know, there was a brazen altar in the wilderness tabernacle and in Solomon's temple, in which incense was spread upon hot coals, and burned before the LORD, as a sweet holy aroma, all of this representing "Holiness to the LORD" (Kodesh l'Adonai).
But let's concentrate on what the Seraph said; "See, this has touched your lips, your guilt is taken away, and your sin atoned for"
If we were to make this short, we could say: Observe: hot coals on your lips= no more guilt, sin debt paid, Our God is an all consuming fire, fire destroys and fire purifies.
When the animal sacrifices were consumed on the sacrificial altar, they signified that the sins of Israel were atoned for, Israel's sin and guilt were transfered to the animals, which God consumed with his holy fire, but not before the priests spilled the animals' blood.
They were all but "shadows" of what would come, all pointing to God's precious and unique sacrificial Lamb, when he, Yeshua, gave up his life, it hurt his Heavenly Father, but now the demand of perfect holiness was complete, a sweet savour unto God from the cross, HE gave US, his perfect holiness, in exchange for our SINS. From the cross to the throne of God, a time of tears and sadness, but a time of joy and gladness.
The sin price was paid in full, the guilt of sin taken away, the hot coal that touched out lips, sin atoned for, now and forever more. By one sacrifice, Messiah Yeshua made perfect forever those who are being made holy (ha Kadoshim) now, through Yeshua, we can be Tzadikim.
Allow God's only Son Yeshua, to touch your unclean lips, for only HE has the power to remove your guilt and atone for your sin.

I hope that many Jewish people will visit this web site, and read this , as well as christians, so that the unsaved sons of Jacob, will see that their Messiah has come and has paid the price, since Yeshua told us to "preach the gospel to the whole world, to the Jew first and then to the gentile" pray that more Jewish message forums will be opened up.

I invite your comments,

Good post - I can see you really have a heart for spreading the good news...we can all learn from that. I will pray for what you said about the forums. I had a friend while in Germany that would go to Israel whenever she could to conferences and other things. She would always come back to chapel and remind us to pray for Israel and our for the veil to be lifted. I know many of us forget to pray about that. May God bless you!
