When my son max was about 3 the Easter Bunnie was a big deal ..my wife always sets out gifts for the kids for when they wake up..one day my wife says you need to talk to to your son..Max tells me the Easter Bunnie is going to kick down our door and leave him some eggs. and then when i told him he wasnt going to kick down the door my son asked HE HAS A KEY ?:shock:So Easter morn comes and when i wake up max he runs right past all the gifts on the table and all we can get out of him is GOTTA SEE THE EASTER BUNNIE GOTTA GET HIS KEY!! Now heres what the lord has shown me on this simple act of a child..Wouldnt it be something if we all could run past the shinny and wondefull things this world has to offer just to open the door and say GOTTA SEE JESUS GOTTA GET THE KEY..I learn from my son daylie and praise God for the things he teaches me just watching him become A Man God can use........REV

when i told him he wasnt going to kick down the door my son asked HE HAS A KEY ?

Oh one brilliant 3 year old!

Run past the blessings and say GOTTA SEE JESUS GOTTA GET THE KEY...priceless!

I have learned more valuable spiritual lessons from observing and listening to my three children than I have from thousands in pulpits, and that`s the simple truth.

Blessed are the little children, the kingdom of God belongs to them.

glad you liked it and yes im always learnig from my children also..Except when im to busy being an adult .....Max always amazes me ....as does God..

Great little story TS, I agree with you and Coconut, we can learn a lot from the children around us. God has taught me many things through my son too. We used to sing a little song as children called "He's got the whole world in His hands" but as an adult because of letting the worries of "ministry" creep in I forgot those words. Then one day at a preschool program the little ones were singing that old song, and Father spoke to me and said "listen to the words, I still got it right here in my hands". From then on I began to look at ministry in a completely different way and from a different angle and experiencing true freedom. All from some little children singing an old song.

one of my favorite times is when i lead the children at differnt churches in JESUS LOVES ME .....if only we could get a grip on the words to that what freeedom it brings ..

Yes indeed, I love that song, so inspired! I think when it finally sinks in and we get the revelation it changes us within and how we treat others.

Paul had this revelation and he wrote;
35 Can anything ever separate us from Christ’s love? Does it mean he no longer loves us if we have trouble or calamity, or are persecuted, or hungry, or destitute, or in danger, or threatened with death?36 (As the Scriptures say, “For your sake we are killed every day; we are being slaughtered like sheep.” )37 No, despite all these things, overwhelming victory is ours through Christ, who loved us.
38 And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow—not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love.39 No power in the sky above or in the earth below—indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Romans 8:35-39 (NLT)

Jesus loves us, oh how He loves us, with a love that is limitless in power, quality, and quantity!

So now comes a nother part of the story ..Max is 13 now ..He has been placed in a postion of leadership with his football team and the new church we attend
has Called him by name to be the drummer for the praise and worship team plus the pastor has asked myself and my son to take an awanas class to teach ..im a dad busting at the buttons for my son and the callings on His life ..praise God for the blessings of Children and the lessons we learn from them...Rev
