ABBA, FATHER

You gave me life
Before my birth
So I could live
For You.

You gave me faith
When I was young
So I'd believe
In You.

You gave me strength
During my trials
So I could stand
With You.

You gave me time
To understand
So I'd come home
To You!

My Prayer

Lord lift my spirits,
They've taken a dive,
These troubles surround me,
I've nowhere to hide.

Each day brings new problems,
The old ones still stay.
Your child needs more courage,
More strength for today.

Sleep has escaped me
For too long a time.
I'm tired and troubled,
Can't say: "Things are fine."

Remind me more often
To lean on Your breast,
For guidance from heaven
Will always bring rest!

I'm feeling much better,
Just needed to pray.
You're there when I need You,
And always You'll stay.

Thanks for Your caring,
The comfort You bring.
This storm will depart now,
My heart shall soon sing!

Reflections

Plant a meadow in my soul,
Water it with dew,
Remove the thorny seeds of doubt
Which cloud my point of view.

Paint a sunset in my mind
So vivid and so true,
So I can pass Your peace along
By things I say and do.

Set a rainbow in my heart
When blue skies turn to gray,
To help me hand Your love right out
To those along the way.

And sprinkle starlight in my eyes
Each time they go astray,
So I can twinkle with Your joy
Every.......single......day.

Of cause you didn't think about it! Most whose talents are in the arts, do it just for the joy of it! That this ability brings joy to others is a bonus, but usually a surprise, especially in those who are Children of God.
