A Prodigal Child

Well, I can say that I was saved when I was twelve years old, but my mom and I never attended church and I never read the bible. Needless to say I started backsliding faster than a car on a hill covered in sleet. I was heading down a path of self-destruction. I had gotten into wordly philosophies, and was accepting things that really weren't moral. But you know what? God wasn't giving up on me! It seems that He had changed me overnight (literally) and we found an Assembly of God church around where we live. That was when I officially renounced all sin and recommitted myself to Christ. I just remember standing at the altar and praying for forgiveness..even after one of the lay pastors prayed over me, I still stood there; for five minutes at least. All of a sudden, I felt this wind blow right by me and I heard this voice in my head say "It's alright, you have been forgiven." Since then, I've been reading the Bible, praying every night (and now I've started praying every morning; nothing too fancy.) I've joined the worship team at my church and have been attending the Intercessory Prayer every sunday morning. I want to thank my Heavenly Father for saving me, even when I had gone astray; for forgiving me of absolutely everything I had done that was against His will. For releasing the strongholds and giving me a new walk and talk

May the Lord bless you my brothers and sisters; if you have gone astray, I pray that the Lord will lead you back as a shepherd leads his flock back.

Heavenly Father, I lift those up to you who are going astray or have been astray for some time. I ask that you bring them back to you and wash them clean of their sins as you have with me. In the name of Jesus, I bind them to you and loosen Satan's power over them. This I pray, Amen
