Hello to all.

If you haven't read my profile, I accepted Jesus Christ as my personal Savior at a Bible Camp when I was 10/11 years old (can't remember the exact age).

I got baptized when I was 15/16 (?)

Over the many years, after this, I have not been the best soldier in the faith but I, surely, have wished and still wish that I could be. (Or one of the best, anyway.) :o) As the saying goes: "Please be patient with me, God is not finished with me yet."

If I may, I would like to share one of my most favorite descriptions of the kind of soldier I would like to be, written by B.J. Morbitzer

Here it is:

"A Soldier In The Army Of God"

"I am a soldier in the army of God.
The Lord Jesus Christ is my Commanding Officer.
The Holy Bible is my code of conduct.
Faith, prayer and the Word are my weapons of warfare.

"I have been taught by the Holy Spirit,
Trained by experience,
Tried by adversity
And tested by fire.

"I am a volunteer in this Army,
And I am enlisted for eternity.
I will not get out,
Sell out,
Be talked out,
Or pushed out.

"I am faithful,
Reliable,
Capable,
And dependable.

"If my God needs me,
I am there.

"I am not a baby.
I do not need to be pampered,
Petted,
Primed up,
Pumped up,
Or pepped up.
I am a soldier.

"I am not a wimp.
I am in place,
Saluting my King,
Obeying His orders,
Praising His Name,
And building His kingdom!

"No one has to send me flowers,
Gifts, food, cards or, candy.
I do not need to be cuddled,
Cradled,
Cared for, or catered to.
I am committed.

"I cannot have my feelings hurt
Bad enough to turn me around.
I cannot be discouraged enough
To turn me aside.
I cannot lose enough
To cause me to quit.

"When Jesus called me into His army,
I had nothing.
If I end up with nothing,
I will still come out ahead.
I will win.

"My God has and will continue
To supply all my needs.
I am more than a conqueror.
I will always triumph.
I can do all things through Christ.

"Devils cannot defeat me.
People cannot disillusion me.
Weather cannot weary me.
Sickness cannot stop me.
Battles cannot beat me.
Governments cannot silence me.
And Hell cannot handle me.
I am a soldier.

"Even death cannot destroy me.
For when my Commander
Calls me from this battlefield,
He will promote me to Captain
And then allow me to rule with Him.
I am a soldier in the Army,
And I'm claiming victory.

"I will not give up.
I will not turn around.
I am a soldier,
Marching heaven bound."

Again, this description of an excellent soldier in the Army of God was written by B.J. Morbitzer

Take time to read the book of Job, in the Holy Scriptures, for a true story about a man who was just like this soldier, just mentioned, and...

Pray without ceasing!

Welcome 4givN&hope4U, thats a heavy duty poem, I like it. Compared to that Soilder, I'm just a boy scout.

Thank you sister for the determination, endurance, and spiritual pudgalism, in that poem: rich in the confidence of God and His Kingdome come. Good exhortation to strive after. Get on out there soldier and take it to the enimies gates; they shall not prevail against the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ.

"My son, forget not my law; but let thine heart keep my commandments:

"For length of days, and long life, and peace, shall they add to thee.

"Let not mercy and truth forsake thee: bind them about thy neck; write them upon the table of thine heart:

"so shalt thou find favour and good understanding in the sight of God and man.

"Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.

"In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.

"Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the Lord, and depart from evil.

"It shall be health to thy navel, and marrow to thy bones.

"Honour the Lord with thy substance, and with the firstfruits of all thine increase:

"So shall thy barns be filled with plenty, and thy presses shall burst out with new wine.

"My son, despise not the chastening of the Lord: neither be weary of his correction:

"For whom the Lord loveth he correcteth; even as a father the son in whom he delighteth.

"Happy is the man that findeth wisdom, and the man that getteth unerstanding.

"For the merchandise of it is better than the merchandise of silver, and the gain thereof than fine gold."

Proverbs 3:1-14 in the King James version of the Holy Bible

Welcome to Talk Jesus sister. God bless you

I'm so glad you are here, sister! God bless you with strength in your inner man as you allow Him to live thru you!

Thank you, all, for your encouragement and prayers!

"jiggyfly", so humbly in the way, "compared to that soldier, I'm just a boy scout."

At least, you know where you are at and can work, with me and others, on becoming all that God wants us to be. I just realized that, after you posted that, that even though God wants us all to grow and be fruitful - He does have a place for all of us, at whatever point we are at.

At least, you are a boy scout and are working towards the goal of the high calling, in Christ Jesus.

:o) Godly love to you all with joy, inexpressable, and the peace that passeth all understanding :o)
