A UNITED FAMILY

"All your children shall be taught by the Lord, and great shall be the peace of your children." Isaiah 54:13

The family is the basic unit of society. But from the very beginning, since man sinned against God, the family has been in trouble. The first crime we read about in the Bible occurred when Cain killed his brother Abel. Instead of love, family life all too often became marked by conflict and tension.

For best results in marriage and building a stable home, follow the instructions of the One who performed the first wedding in the Garden of Eden. Those instructions are in the Bible. The reason the family is in critical condition today is that we have neglected His rules for a successful home. We have put self in place of sacrifice. We have valued things more than we have valued people.

You can have the right kind of home. Your home can be united if it is now divided. The first place to begin is on your knees, asking Christ for forgiveness and then asking God to give you a new love for each other-and for Him. Don't let your family drift apart, but with God's help resist the pressures and come together around the Cross.

-Billy Graham

This is so very important because family can make or break you. There is so many people who are lost because they grew up in broken and disrupted homes due to divorce, alcohol, crime and so many other things. The sad thing is that conflict and tension starts in childhood and accompany individuals into adulthood where it is experienced over and over because it is not dealt with in the manner you mentioned.
You can have the right kind of home. Your home can be united if it is now divided. The first place to begin is on your knees, asking Christ for forgiveness and then asking God to give you a new love for each other-and for Him.

It is our responsibility as parents to provide a stable loving home to our children, giving them a good basis to live their lifes. What we give them as children will be part of them for ever and therefore we must strive to give them only the best - and the best we will find in God who gives us the the fruit of the Spirit.

Love and care can never be replaced by money or material possessions and less by broken confused parents. It is our responsibility as Christians to reach out to our family members and the people around us, most of them has been suffering due to bondage and poor upbringing and all this negativity is reflected onto the children.
It becomes a wheel turning and turning from one generations to the other and we can make a difference by stopping that wheel by allowing Jesus to reach out to them through our hands.

Just think if we make a change in our lifes or a difference in another persons life it will have an effect that will reach out into the next generations and straight into heaven. It will be like throwing a stone in water - the ripples will stretch out and out until it reaches land.

It is an awesome though.

Thanks for posting it is a great threat.:girl_hug:

Family members know who you really are. They see you when you are not at your best. May God help us to see that our families are made out of the same clay that we are. May He help us to love our families unconditionally without reserve. Christ gave us a beautiful example in that He laid down His life for the members of His family. He made accomodations to ensure that His mother would be cared for in His absence. May we ask God to give us His unending love as we minister to the members of our families.
God told us to take no thought of what we should wear or what we should eat or drink. He will take care of all that. What families need today is godly parents. Mothers and Daddy's that will be on their knees continually lifting their families to Him.

Tought it will be appropriate if I share this story on this threat.

A Box Of Kisses
The story goes that some time ago, a man punished his 3-year-old daughter for wasting a roll of gold wrapping paper. Money was tight and he became infuriated when the child tried to decorate a box to put under the Christmas tree.

Nevertheless, the little girl brought the gift to her father the next morning and said, "This is for you, Daddy." He was embarrassed by his earlier overreaction, but his anger flared again when he found the box was empty.

He yelled at her, "Don't you know that when you give someone a present, there's supposed to be something inside it?"

The little girl looked up at him with tears in her eyes and said,"Oh, Daddy, it is not empty. I blew kisses into the box. All for you, Daddy."

The father was crushed. He put his arms around his little girl, and he begged for her forgiveness.

It is told that the man kept that gold box by his bed for years and whenever he was discouraged, he would take out an imaginary kiss and remember the love of the child who had put it there.

In a very real sense, each of us as humans have been given a gold container filled with unconditional love and kisses from our children, friends, family and God. There is no more precious possession anyone could hold.
