A war wages inside of me
Flesh versus spirit
I die daily, hourly

Moment by moment
I see the dark inside
And know

Any moment at any time
My flesh may win
And when it does

I cry out
Father forgive me
For I know to do right but do wrong

I stand to fall
At Your feet
And another day begins

A war wages inside of me
Flesh versus spirit

Moment by moment
I see the Light within
And know

Only He can lift me up
To help me overcome
And live to do Thy will
