A Year of Change

Looking back overpast twelve months
my retirementstarted early this year
enjoying some lovelyholidays together
my wife and I wentfar and near

Personally blessedas having more time
my favourite booksto study and read
enjoyed biographyand history
leaving much my mindto feed

But greater time ingaining light
from the Holy Bibleshining so bright
oh how I love God'sinspired write
His Holy Spiritgives much insight

All of this sets upa challenge
that a change wouldbe happening inside
so my life wouldlook more like Jesus
who wants to be myspiritual guide

The Lord has takenme along a road
that will eventuallyfit me for glory
showing up my faultsand failings
shaping Christ in meperfecting His story
