An atheist was walking through the woods.

What majestic trees"!
"What powerful rivers"!
"What beautiful animals"!
He said to himself.

As he was walking alongside the river, he heard a rustling in the bushes behind him. He turned to look. He saw a 7 foot grizzly charge towards him. He ran as fast as he could up the path. He looked over his shoulder & saw that the bear was closing
In on him.

He looked over his shoulder again, & the bear was even closer. He tripped & fell on the ground. He rolled over to pick himself up but saw that the bear was right on top of him, reaching for him with his left paw & raising his right paw to strike him. At that instant the Atheist cried out, "Oh my God!"

Time Stopped.
The bear froze.
The forest was silent.

As a bright light shone upon the man, a voice came out of the sky. "You deny my existence for all these years, teach others I don't exist and even credit creation to cosmic accident." "Do you expect me to help you out of this predicament? Am I to count you as a believer"?

The atheist looked directly into the light, "It would be hypocritical of me to suddenly ask You to treat me as a Christian now, but perhaps You could make the BEAR a Christian"?

"Very Well," said the voice.

The light went out. The sounds of the forest resumed. And the bear dropped his right paw, brought both paws together, bowed his head & spoke:

"Lord bless this food, which I am about to receive from thy bounty through Christ our Lord, Amen."

lol how funny. The bear asked the blessing before the food.

This joke has taken on a number of faces over the years, but it is still hilarious. I enjoyed your version, Rizen1.

Here's my one:

An atheist was walking through the woods and he tripped and broke his legs in a ditch.

For one whole day he was in the ditch crying out for help.

An angel then came to him and the atheist could not believe what he was seeing "my mind must be playing tricks on me he said" but then the angel threw dirt over him and said "your mind is not playing tricks, for years you proclaimed where is God? when something bad happened and you said science saves and religion kills but where then is your science?"

The angel looked at the sky and said "Where are you science?!" He then looked down at the atheist and said "You see atheist, your science cannot save you. Only man can and it was God who made the rules of what is right and what is wrong. Religion teaches you to help others and thus religion does save."

The angel then walked away and the atheist cried out for help and stubbornly refused to accept God and ask for forgiveness, had he asked, he would have been saved. Instead, over the night he was found by wolves who tore him limb from limb...

Conclusion:

Science can save but science doesn't teach you to help your fellow man like most religions do. The Parable of The Good Samaritan teaches us to respect all men and women, no matter what colour/nationality they are and to help those who need our help. Had a man seen the atheist, he may not have helped him anyway. Had a man who followed religion seen the man, he would have helped without hesitation and would have gone the extra mile.
