The Bible has countless accounts of “angels” being used to guide, protect, and minister to the people of God. But how are they sent out to accomplish their missions? The book of Hebrews describes their missions.
Heb 1:13 But to which of the ANGELS said he at any time, Sit on my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool?
Heb 1:14 ARE THEY NOT ALL MINISTERING SPIRITS, SENT FORTH TO MINISTER FOR THEM WHO SHALL BE HEIRS OF SALVATION?
All of the angels of God have been sent forth to minister “FOR” those who shall be heirs of salvation.
Not only do angels minister “FOR” those, but they also minister “TO” those who are heirs of salvation. Jesus was ministered to by angels after he was tempted in the desert.
Mat 4:10 Then saith Jesus unto him, Get thee hence, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve.
Mat 4:11 Then the devil leaveth him, and, behold, ANGELS, CAME AND MINISTERED UNTO HIM.
Divine protection by God commanding his angels.
Psa 91:10 no evil shall be allowed to befall you, no plague come near your tent.
Psa 91:11 For HE WILL COMMAND HIS ANGELS CONCERNING YOU TO GUARD YOU IN ALL YOUR WAYS.
Jesus said.....
Luke 4:10 For it is written, HE SHALL GIVE HIS ANGELS CHARGE OVER THEE, TO KEEP THEE:
How do I get God to command his angels over me to protect me?

Luke 12:8 Also I say unto you, WHOSOEVER SHALL CONFESS ME BEFORE MEN, HIM SHALL THE SON OF MAN ALSO CONFESS BEFORE THE ANGELS OF GOD:
What does it mean to confess Jesus before men? It means to speak the Word of God out of your mouth.
1Pe 4:11 IF YOU SPEAK, YOU SHOULD DO IT LIKE ONE SPEAKING GOD'S VERY WORDS. If you serve, you should do it with the strength God provides. Then in all things, God will be praised through Jesus Christ. Give him the glory and the power forever and ever. Amen.
If I speak the very Words of God, Jesus who is that Word (who is God) will confess me before the angels of God! In other words, speaking the Word of God is the same as Jesus speaking directly to the angels of God through you!
Psa 103:20 Bless the LORD, ye HIS ANGELS, that excel in strength, that DO HIS COMMANDMENTS, HEARKENING UNTO THE VOICE OF HIS WORD.
It is the Church who is to ”GIVE VOICE” to the word of God. Angels obey the word in which we are supposed to speak!
Speaking doubt and unbelief stop angels from working on your behalf.
Angels will lead, guide, minister to, and protect you in the way you should go according to the will of God if we hold fast to our confession of faith!
Provoking your Angels?
We know from the scriptures that God has commanded his angels to keep (protect) us from harm.
Psa 91:11 For he (God) shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways.
Does that mean God,s angels will protect us no matter what we say and do?
The Lord God tells the nation of Israel to not “PROVOKE” the angel he sent to protect them and to bring them into the promised land he had already given them.
Exo 23:20 Behold, I SEND AN ANGEL BEFORE THEE, TO KEEP THEE IN THE WAY, AND TO BRING THEE INTO THE PLACE WHICH I HAVE PREPARED.
Exo 23:21 Beware of him, and OBEY HIS VOICE, PROVOKE HIM NOT; for he will not pardon your transgressions: for my name is in him.
Angels have been given us to lead, guide, minister to, and protect us from harm. As long as we do not “provoke” them they will do their job. If we do provoke them we will not be secure and be open for great harm!
Exo 23:22 But IF THOU SHALT INDEED OBEY HIS VOICE, and do all that I speak; then I WILL BE AN ENEMY UNTO THINE ENEMIES, AND AN ADVERSARY UNTO THINE ADVERSARIES.
Exo 23:23 For MINE ANGEL SHALL GO BEFORE THEE, AND BRING THEE IN UNTO THE AMORITES, AND THE HITTITES, AND THE PERIZZITES, AND THE CANAANITES, THE HIVITES, AND THE JEBUSITES: AND I WILL CUT THEM OFF.
God assigned an angel to make sure the nation of Israel made it to the promised land, but they provoked the angel of the Lord so that thousands of them died in the wilderness. We have heard it said, “Whatever does not kill you makes you stronger” That is not really true. Israel had trouble in the wilderness and it literally killed them.
In the Book of Numbers, God said......
Num 14:28 Say unto them, As truly as I live, saith the LORD, AS YE HAVE SPOKEN IN MINE EARS, SO WILL I DO TO YOU:
Num 14:29 Your carcasses shall fall in this wilderness; and all that were numbered of you, according to your whole number, from twenty years old and upward,
Instead of “BELIEVING” what God had said to them they spoke out of their mouth contrary to God,s word and provoked his angel! The Lord told them he was going to give them what they say.
The people of God “murmured”, and complained to Moses that they were going to die in the wilderness!
Exo_14:11 And they said unto Moses, Because there were no graves in Egypt, hast THOU TAKEN US AWAY TO DIE IN THE WILDERNESS? wherefore hast thou dealt thus with us, to carry us forth out of Egypt?
Exo_14:12 Is not this the word that we did tell thee in Egypt, saying, Let us alone, that we may serve the Egyptians? For it had been better for us to serve the Egyptians, THAN THAT WE SHOULD DIE IN THE WILDERNESS.
Num_14:35 I the LORD have said, I will surely do it unto all this evil congregation, that are gathered together against me: IN THIS WILDERNESS THEY SHALL BE CONSUMED, AND THERE THEY SHALL DIE.
Num_21:5 And THE PEOPLE SPAKE AGAINST GOD, and against Moses, Wherefore have YE BROUGHT US UP OUT OF EGYPT TO DIE IN THE WILDERNESS? for there is no bread, neither is there any water; and our soul loatheth this light bread.
Angels are not human and are not required to forgive our sins as the Lord had told Israel.

Anytime we speak words contrary to the promises of God it will provoke our angels not to cause us harm, but to stop their purpose of protecting God,s children from harm!
I can not number the many times I have experienced supernatural deliverance by angels in my life. I did not see them, but I knew they were there because there was no other way I could have escaped from harm.
Heb 1:13 And God has never said this to any of his angels: “Take your seat next to me at my right hand until I force your whispering enemies to be a rug under your feet.”

I read two book by the same name. One was by Perry Stone. The other was much older by a Pastor from this area named Buck Hunt.
