Well I was just thinking about this whole conformity act going on now. Where everyone seems pressured to walk around like clones rather than individuals. Alot with teenagers now there's so much pressure about what you wear,how you look.
I think we need to take a stand stop wearing clothes that are inmodest just because their popluar.I'm not saying we should'nt dress to look nice I'm saying we should'nt wear inmodest or profane clothing just because it's popluar.
How can we be examples when we talk,look and act the same way the world does.I'm not saying we're better than them or perfect. But there is a difference and the bible says you will know them by their fruits.I think I spend alittle to much time worrying about trival things.
But then God reminds me in Matthew ch6 verses 24-33 focusing specfically on what it says in verses 31-33 "Therefore take no thought, saying what shall we eat or, What shall we drink? or Wherewithal shall we be clothed?(For after these things do the Gentiles seek
for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things. But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and all these things shall be added unto you."
So god reminds me that the things the world says matter really don't. We just have to get to the point of not caring what others think. The bible says you cannot serve God and mammon. I think we've got to chose what side we're on. We can't watch,listen to or do everything the world does. We've got to stop trying to be in between. It's so easy for people to to find themselves in that predicament.
Where their in between reading their bible and praying and at the same time drinking or smoking a cigarette. But to be like Christ is to let go of all those things you used to do and follow him. The devil makes it look hard to give up those things but it's not.
Because when you think about all the Lord has done for us.You see that we don't even deserve his forgiveness but he died for us nevertheless because he is a merciful loving God. Because if you think about if we don't start standing up for Christ who will ? God bless all and please keep me in your prayers to stand firm in the Lord and the power of his might also let me know what you all think about this subject?
