Greetings brothers and sisters in Christ,

Welcome to the prayer forum where many seek your precious powerful prayers when in times they need it. Prayer is the most powerful weapon GOD has given us to ask Him for comfort, healing, restoration, peace, joy and many other blessings.

Why pray?

1. Prayer is a form of serving God (Luke 2:36-38)

2. Prayer is exemplified for us by Christ and the early church (Mark 1:35; Acts 1:14; 2:42; 3:1; 4:23-31; 6:4; 13:1-3) If they did it, we should also.

3. God intends for prayer to be the means of obtaining His solutions in a number of situations:
a) Preparation for major decisions (Luke 6:12-13)

b) Overcoming demonic barriers in lives (Mt. 17:14-21)

c) The gathering of workers for the spiritual harvest (Luke 10:2)

d) The gaining of strength to overcome temptation (Mt. 26:41)

e) The means of strengthening others spiritually (Eph 6:18-19)
4. We have God's promise that our prayers are not in vain, even if we don't get specifically what we asked for (Mt. 6:6; Rom. 8:26-27).

5. He has promised that when we ask for things that are in accordance with His will (we find that in His Word), He will give us what we ask for (1 John 5:14-15).

Please pray when you say you will pray for somone. Do not just post "I'll pray..." and never pray for that person. You can make a difference that you will most likely not notice but GOD sees and His angels the same.

God bless you!

That was really enlightening. Now I have a better perspective about prayers and how to go about with it! Thank you once again.

Yes, amen...there is a two-way communication between ourselves and God, through Christ, by His Holy Spirit as the messenger...and He does listen and respond to every word we say.

Amen. Good guidelines for all who pray, or want to pray, or need to pray.

God is a Prayer answering God. "Call upon Him"

You are Number 1 in the eyes of the Lord God Almighty
