I am so sorry if this is placed under the wrong subject, but please, bear with me; this is all new to me.

The Lord has spoken & shown a lot of things to me over the years in my dreams, & most times, I have prayed for an interpretation or meaning & most have been revealed to me. There is one in particular I was shown recently that I have asked for the meaning, with no real clear answer. A lot of "maybes", but that's about the extent of it.

In this dream (vision), I started out at a place I once lived before, but I don't think that had any particular significance. I was there with a few other people I knew & I was under the understanding that a few "giant trees" had fallen in the area (region?). I then find myself staring at the most gigantic telephone pole I had ever seen. The base of which was as large around as a four-bedroom house & towering a good 800-1,000 feet in the air. This thing was monstrous! It also had a top on it that favored the old-fashioned telephone poles you used to see by the roadside. The shape of the top reminded me of a crown, almost.

The telephone pole then starts bending & swaying, a little at first, & then very wildly. It then plummets to the ground & breaks into a thousand pieces. A very sharp & very loud clap of thunder is heard (I did not perceive in my dream that the "sound" was from the fall of the pole, but rather a seperate noise event all together).

The ground then begins to roll like waves in a waterbed. Everyone present (I included) falls to their knees as there was no strength or power left to stand.
I then start feeling, quite vividly, "someone" or "something" lashing me with evidently a whip or some related object across my back. The pain I remember as being very real.

After this, I recover & rise to my feet. I then seek out whoever would listen to me & exclaim, "He is coming! He is coming!" The people then ask, "What are you talking about? Who is coming?" To which I answer, "HE is coming! The King Of Kings & Lord Of Lords; The Alpha & Omega; The Beginning & The End! Make no doubt about it! HE IS COMING!"

I can understand the latter part of my announcing of the King's arrival, but what is the significance of the previous fallen giant trees, or the monstrous telephone pole?
Or the lashing I received? It has puzzled me since. I pray that someone might hear the voice of the Lord on this one or maybe can help me understand a little better something I'm missing.

God bless,

Question, did the trees that had fallen appear to have been cut down?

Hello my Brother...

First let me start by saying that I will pray for you. It sounds like the Holy Spirit has given you the gift of prophecy. This is a very scary and difficult gift to understand and develop, but remember, it IS from the Spirit of God and as such will bring glory and honor to His kingdom. He will give you the answers you are seeking. Prayer and Meditation.
As for the meaning of the trees and the enormous telephone pole... These might be a metaphor for us in our walk with Christ. Think of Peter if you will, during the last supper he pridefully boasted that he "would never deny Him"... that "he would follow Him even to death!" From this we know that no matter how righteous we may feel about ourselves, God know our hearts. From the life of Peter we can learn that no matter how good we think we're doing, there is always the lingering possibility of failure.
Like your telephone pole... the appearance was that it was strong, solid, and unbreakable. Yet compared to the righteousness of God it is nothing more than thousands of tiny slivers.
As for the lashings to your back, did they occur before or after you proclaimed the coming of our Messiah? It might be that the real pain you felt from them might signify the suffering we must endure as part of our walk with Him. We know from His word that we WILL endure trials, tribulations, pain, and suffering for our Lord, as He had to endure for our sins. Praise God that we can rejoice in our sufferings that it will bring us into a closer relationship with Him.
As I said before, it sounds like the Spirit gave you the gift of prophecy. He did not do this to confuse you so I'm sure He will provide you with all the answers and interpretations you seek.
Glory to His Kingdom and blessings to you.

I am struggling to follow this line of reasoning??? What does the gift of prophecy have to do with this dream??? I assume you are referring to the spiritual gift of prophecy that Paul talks about in 1Corinthians chapter 12. I cannot see any connection at all unless you are speaking of another kind of prophetic gift.

As it is written: "For a dream cometh through the multitude of business".
Could I please ask you to elaborate?
Thank you so much for taking the time.

To answer your question, in the dream I had an understanding they had fallen on their own but not cut down.
Also in response to davidengesser: the lashings I received were before I had proclaimed the King's arrival.
Thank you so much for your time & input.

As I was reading your post, this is what I saw, I don't know if it helps or not.
I found it interesting that it was a 'telephone pole' that basically reached into the heavens. What is the significance of that except perhaps it is a discription of the 'age of grace' where we all have immediate contact with God... but when the end times come, it is an age of wrath because those who don't believe in God are less likely to believe. Rather than turn to God in the earthquakes, food shortage, boils, etc, they will be blaming God.
Your pain at the lashing could be indicative of all of the believers who will stand up for God and be punished by man for it.
What a dream!! I hope this helps, but I don't pretend to have the gift of interpretation of dreams like Daniel or Joseph... I can not say that God says any of these things to you. Only I do... which doesn't mean much

God bless
