Avoid Pride

Look on every one that is proud, and bring him low; and tread down the wicked in their place. Job 40:12

Thou hast rebuked the proud that are cursed, which do err from thy commandments. Psalms 119:21

The fear of the LORD is to hate evil: pride, and arrogancy, and the evil way, and the fro-ward mouth, do I hate. Proverbs 8:13

Pride goeth before destruction, and an haughty spirit before a fall. Proverbs 16:18

An high look, and a proud heart, and the plowing of the wicked, is sin. Proverbs 21:4

Seest thou a man wise in his own conceit? There is more hope of a fool than of him. Proverbs 26:12

Let another man praise thee, and not thine own mouth; a stranger, and not thine own lips. Proverbs 27:2

He that is of a proud heart stirreth up strife: but he that putteth his trust in the LORD shall be made fat. He that trusteth in his own heart is a fool: but whoso walketh wisely, he shall be delivered. Proverbs 28:25,26

Woe unto them that are wise in their own eyes, and prudent in their own sight! Isaiah 5:21

And he sat down, and called the twelve, and saith unto them, If any man desire to be first, the same shall be last of all, and servant of all. Mark 9:35

And he said unto them, Ye are they which justify yourselves before men; but God knoweth your hearts: for that which is highly esteemed among men is abomination in the sighl of God. Luke 16:15

How can ye believe, which receive honour one of another, and seek not the honour that cometh from God only? John 5:44

But he that glorieth, let him glory in the Lord. For not he that commendeth himself is approved, but whom the Lord commendeth. 2 Corinthians 10:17,18

1Co 13:6 Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth;
1Co 13:7 Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things.

Joh 5:44 How can ye believe, which receive honour one of another, and seek not the honour that [cometh] from God only?


Amen brother Yeshua: but remember this one as well...as saints we sometimes miss this... because of self exaltation or envy, and our motives are not quite right. Christ never recieved honour from men...but Paul told the church to give double honour, to them who labour in the word.
Not that they will take it...but they should recieve that honour if they are good teachers... or preachers.

1Ti 5:17 Let the elders that rule well be counted worthy of double honour, especially they who labour in the word and doctrine.

Hopefully pride wont be an issue
