Awesome God and the fear of the Lor

As you can see my signature says "Our God is an awesome God". Awesome is a word I keep to describe what God does because I cannot think of a better word. I was so excited when I came across these verses about awesome God and the fear of the Lord. (all are taken from NKJV and are followed by the study notes).

Psalm 47:2 "For the Lord Most High is awesome; He is a great King over all the earth." - "awesome is related to the word for "fear" and suggests reverence for Almighty God, great King is the key phrase of this psalm. Only one King, the great God of Heaven, is absolute in power and righteousness."

Psalm 25:14 "The secret of the Lord is with those who fear Him." - "those who fear the Lord pay attention to His instructions and thus learn the secrets of God's wisdom".

Psalm 111:10 "The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom" - "the fear of the Lord describes an obedient response of wonder and awe before the Most High God"

These verses remind me how important it is to fear the Lord in our daily walk with Him.
