Be not afraid, only believe
Mark 5:36

I would just like to share this testimony of praise to our Lord for His might, His love and His goodness.

I have to admit that as a mother, often fear can creep in when the little ones are unwell......and trust slips away.

One of my daughters who was unwell last week was running an extremely high fever, and laying quite listlessly in bed, not responding to medication to reduce fever.
As a nurse my imaginations and concerns often run riot as I self diagnose the worst possible scenarios in my imagination.

But this verse which sits on our wall seemed to jump out at me
Be not afraid only believe

I gently placed my hands on her body and prayed that she would cool down and be well.....with a little voice in my heart saying Lord I believe ...help my unbelief
A few minutes later, I put my hand on her....quite gingerly (the unbelief seeping in) and was amazed she had cooled down considerably.
Praise the Lord!

A while later her temperature was down to normal..... in fact her skin felt so cool that I put a warmer cover on her

All glory to the Lord for answering prayer and being the ever present loving healing hand in our lives.....all we need to do is leave things to Him to do!

Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth.
And straightway the father of the child cried out, and said with tears, Lord, I believe; help Thou mine unbelief.
Mark 9:23-24

Praise the Lord sis Julia for once again the Lord showed He cares though sometimes we fail to keep our faith. :D

It is always amazing to find that when the Holy Spirit inspires us a Scripture, the result is always as it was said. PTL. Amen

Dear Fragrant Grace,

Thank you for the update, I have been praying and happy to read your testimony and to know that kids are doing well. I give God the glory.

I have to admit that as a mother, often fear can creep in when the little ones are unwell......and trust slips away.
This happens to me as well. Instead of Trusting God I will give place to fear and worry.

I need to remind myself- God will never leave us nor forsake us. In those times God will show us the way how to trust him completely.

God Bless you Sister

Praise God!

I am so thankful to Him for this miracle for your daughter. It's funny how we know God is there and yet we let the unbelief creep in,
but He heard your prayer and was faithful to answer. I am so thankful to God for his faithfulness inspite of the times of my own
unbelief without Him we would be or having nothing.

Thank you for sharing this Julia it was great praise report and reminder to me.

Don't we all wish that we had faith as much as a mustard seed? I thank the Lord that your daughter is better Julia, indeed we all worry about things to some degree, some more, some less, and often over different types of things. But the Lord has compassion on us. Even though Martha was worried about less important things at one point when Jesus spoke with her, she had greater faith than all the apostles when it came to Jesus being resurrected. As long as we can grow in faith even by the volume of a grain of sand, we are still growing in faith, and that's more important than all the knowledge in the world IMO.
