O LORD God of hosts, Who [is] mighty like You, O LORD? Your faithfulness also surrounds You. Psalm 89:8 NKJV
What would it be like to be so convinced that God is everything you can never be that your mouth refuses silence on the issue? Well, one thing is certain: your conversations would have a purpose—even in the awkward moments between what you’re saying and how others respond.
When you follow God with all your heart, it no longer matters what anyone else thinks. You are not in a popularity contest, and you are not responsible for making others believe the good news you know to be true. Yes, God can use your words, but you need to say them first.
Psalm 89 describes a God clothed in might and faithfulness. The psalm is written by someone equally impressed with God (the writer of this psalm is a wise man named Ethan).
Even when people don’t want to understand, you can (and should) speak. If they reject God, it’s not because they never had a chance to accept Him. There’s only one whose approval you should seek, and He wants you to tell others about Him. Be strong. Be courageous. Be vocal.
Prayer: It’s easy to keep quiet, Father. Let me learn something from Ethan and be so impressed with You that others will hear about You from me.
