Greetings,

Today, three very special people sent me a story each.

I pray they inspire you to pray and believe..... for it is the same Lord who answers prayer for all His children.

Bless you ....><>

A seminary professor was vacationing with his wife in Gatlinburg , TN.
One morning, they were eating breakfast at a little restaurant, hoping to enjoy a quiet, family meal. While they were waiting for their food, they
noticed a distinguished looking, white-haired man moving from table to
table, visiting with the guests. The professor leaned over and whispered
to his wife, 'I hope he doesn't come over here.'

But sure enough, the man
did come over to their table.

'Where are you folks from?' he asked in a friendly voice.

' Oklahoma ,' they answered.

'Great to have you here in Tennessee ,' the stranger said. 'What do you do
for a living?'

'I teach at a seminary,' he replied.

'Oh, so you teach preachers how to preach, do you? Well, I've got a really
great story for you.' And with that, the gentleman pulled up a chair and
sat down at the table with the couple.

The professor groaned and thought to himself, 'Great! Just what I need
...another preacher story!'

The man started, 'See that mountain over there? (pointing out the
restaurant window). Not far from the base of that mountain, there was a
boy born to an unwed mother. He had a hard time growing up, because every
place he went, he was always asked the same question, 'Hey boy, Who's your
daddy?' Whether he was at school, in the grocery store or drug store,
people would ask the same question, 'Who's your daddy?'

He would hide at recess and lunchtime from other students. He would avoid
going into stores because that question hurt him so bad. 'When he was
about 12 years old, a new preacher came to his church. He would always go
in late and slip out early to avoid hearing the question,
'Who's your daddy?'

But one day, the new preacher said the benediction so fast that he got
caught and had to walk out with the crowd.

Just about the time he got to the back door, the new preacher, not knowing
anything about him, put his hand on his shoulder and asked him, 'Son,
who's your daddy?'

The whole church got deathly quiet. He could feel every eye in the church
looking at him. Now everyone would finally know the answer to the
question, 'Who's your daddy?'

'This new preacher, though, sensed the situation around him and using
discernment that only the Holy Spirit could give, said the following to
that scared little boy.. 'Wait a minute! I know who you are! I see the
family resemblance now. You are a child of God.'

With that he patted the boy on his shoulder and said, 'Boy, you've got a
great inheritance. Go and claim it.'

'With that, the boy smiled for the first time in a long time and walked
out the door a changed person. He was never the same again. Whenever
anybody asked him, 'Who's your Daddy?' he'd just tell them, 'I'm a Child
of God.''

The distinguished gentleman got up from the table and said, 'Isn't that a
great story?'

The professor responded that it really was a great story!

As the man turned to leave, he said, 'You know, if that new preacher
hadn't told me that I was one of God's children, I probably never would
have amounted to anything!' And he walked away.

The seminary professor and his wife were stunned. He called the waitress
over &asked her, 'Do you know who that man was -- the one who just left
that was sitting at our table?'

The waitress grinned and said, 'Of course. Everybody here knows him.
That's Ben Hooper. He's the former governor of Tennessee !'

Someone in your life today needs a reminder that they're one of God's
children!

'The grass withers and the flowers fall, but the word of God stands
forever.' ~~Isaiah

YOU'RE ONE OF GOD'S CHILDREN!!! HAVE A GREAT DAY!

Live simply,Love generously,Care deeply,Speak kindly,
Leave the rest to GOD

I would like to share something,

Upon arriving at home last night I was looking for my wallet and could not find it any where, I have a lot of things in it , Bank card, private health ,etc.

Licence and other cards of authorities I keep in there .

I tore the house and car apart for three hours finding other things and throwing other things out as I went .

I went through the car four times .

And I went to the Lord, this is the important part , I found my self feeling stranded and a little lost now that I could not by or sell and work out I had enough food in the house for time to be reissued another card.

But I saw my weakness and before the Lord saw that it was He that gives or takes away all things and that my security was and is in Him, be for Him I confessed and my distress was lifted and I slept well last night.

The wallet I found sitting on my desk this morning when I arrived this morning.

I was able to thank God for this very pointed humbling experience .and that is should remain with me.

Well, I thought I would share this with you as I think you will understand this .

ps... By all means share it .

It occurred last night.

I found that we don’t see where we are at, no matter how we try, it takes the Lord to do/bring some things about so we get the growth He is wanting us to have in His Son's likeness.

Have a good day.

Greetings ....Praise the Lord.

A few weeks ago I visited a Church closest to where I live and with in walking distance..as I do not have transportation other than a bicycle I purchased and my two feet. This Church is called The Apple Valley Baptist Church. As I approached the street to where the Church is on..there was another Church named the Nazarene Church of Apple Valley. Both these Church's are 2.5 miles one way from where I presently live. A fair walk to say the least, especially in the heat of the summer.

I stopped at the corner and asked God which Church to attend for the first visit..previously I had met a member of the Baptist Church so I decided that was where to go..as I had mentioned I would be back.

They had a visitation card as do most Church's to fill out and on that card was a place to tick and if ticked on the back was to have them pray for you or write out your prayer request for them to pray about.

Considering all my needs at the moment, no job, no money, ..my prayer request was this....I asked them to pray that the Lord would open up an opportunity for me to be of His Service with the songs and music He has blessed me with..

Three days later, my mother approached me with a question....had I noticed in the classifieds an ad placed that read...Wanted Guitar Player for Sunday Church Services?..
I had been out looking for work..and left early that day and did not read the classified ads.

So she got it out of the rubbish and handed it to me..and I called the number..To my surprise. the advertisement was placed by a member of The Nazarene Church...the other Church.

I visited them the next Sunday, walked both directions and on the way home I was like Dear Lord it is hot..I was somewhat disapointed, but I left a copy of my cd with the person who placed the ad. Although it was not entirely my gospel cd it was one I felt I needed to make and named that copy..Soulfully Yours.

The next day being Monday I set out as typical and walked to the bus stop nearest where I live, and this time a man stopped and asked me if I needed a ride, I said yes a ride would be awesome, that I was going to the bus stop and was going to be out job hunting. He had then told me that he passed me Sunday and noticed I was carrying my Bible..I said yes that I was comming home from attending the Nazarene Church

He said that he is a Christian too and we talked a bit about Jesus and music..and he asked me what kind of work was I looking for...and I said well my last job in the states, I worked as a helper for a household remodeling and repair company owned by another fellow Christian...he said wow...that he was in the same business...I had a copy of my cd Soulfully Yours with me, and immediately gave him a copy..we exchanged phone numbers..and went on our way..

Later that day he phoned me and asked me if I wanted to go to a Bible Study..with him and I said sure that would be cool...He asked me if I would bring my guitar...and of course as you well know I dont need to be asked that question twice...I said sure...

This Church is an Apostolic Pentecostal Church...and that evening I shared two songs with them, and after or close to the closing of that meeting that Pastor had said, It would be an honor if I could come back on Sunday and sing some more..and as you guessed it I did...what is really awesome about this Church...is that it is an All "Black" Church, only myself and the guy who took me were white...Amen!!

The Brother who gave me the ride to the bus stop is now my boss and I am working for him for a season..to help earn some money..Next Sunday I am playing at the Nazarene Church..doing two songs but also will be part of the service where 6 songs in total will be played...

God is allowing me and opened the doors over that simple prayer request..I asked the Baptist Church to pray for...2 Church's, in two back to back weeks...and I'm hoping this is just the beginning...to a longed hoped for Service Participation for the Gospel and Glory of Jesus Christ our Lord, King, and Savior that I have been praying for..I have so missed being a worker for the Lord in this capacity..

Praise God, Amen!!

In Jesus' Love, Mercy, and Grace!!
