So he brought his people out of Egypt with joy, his chosen ones with rejoicing. Psalm 105:43 NLT
God reverses human mistakes. It’s part of who He is.
Have you ever found yourself struggling with the results of your sin or someone else’s, despairing of any hope of a meaningful future. If so, you’re not alone.
The children of Israel felt this way when they labored as slaves in Egypt. They struggled every day as a result of their sin in making other things priorities over against spending time with God (Psalm 106:6). But, because of His character (His “name”), God reversed the situation and gave them the Promised Land. He can do the same for you.
When Paul and Barnabas strongly disagreed about their ministry and ended their friendship (Acts 15), God, because of who He is, reversed the situation and brought them together again (1 Corinthians 9). He restores relationships because of His name.
When King Saul died because he “did not inquire of the Lord,” God “turned the kingdom over to David” (1 Chronicles 10:14 NIV) and reversed the situation for the nation of Israel.
Because of who He is, and because His love for you is everlasting, God can fix your failures.
Prayer: Lord, help me learn to say with the psalm writer, “Praise the Lord. Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; his love endures forever” (106:1).
