God is the maker of the mind
for the purpose of godly thinking
in that purpose our minds need set
looking upwards to the God king
Heaven must be our lone pursuit
so our mind is filled with God
looking forward to His dear presence
who protects us with His divine sword
We come into this earthly world
with nothing of our own
we'll leave it with the same
for earthly things are just on loan
What is worthwhile and rewarding
is spiritual and eternal
God the satisfier of the immortal soul
in heaven we reach our eternal terminal
So set our thoughts on heaven
knowing the holy spirit will us bless
filling our minds with God's righteousness
being full of Christ's holiness
Be done with earthly vanity
looking only to Jesus God's son
to fill you with Himself
then your victory is won
