Being Light in a Dark World

"You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden. "Nor do they light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all [who are] in the house. "Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven. Matthew 5:14-16 NKJV

It’s not difficult to see that this world is covered in spiritual darkness. We see the darkness in news reports, in entertainment media, and in countless other places. If we’re not careful, this world’s darkness can leave us feeling discouraged, even overwhelmed.

Jesus didn’t take us to heaven at the very moment we were saved. Instead, He allowed us to stay in this dark, hurting world, giving us this special assignment: you be the light this world needs to see.

You needn’t spend all your time lamenting this world’s darkness and the effect it has on all of humanity. Instead, you can choose to let your light shine so that others can see the power of Jesus to save and transform.

Prayer: Lord Jesus, the world I live in is shrouded in darkness. I see its terrible effects every day. Encourage and empower me to let Your light shine from within me every day.

They light you are praying for is already there beloved brother:

John 1:4 In Him was life, and that life was the light of men.

God did not abandon you or anybody else, His light is within us, or the body of flesh falls down dead at once, it is the life within the body of flesh. It is not living by itself, so it is death. That is why if we are attracted to the body of flesh of a sister before God, we are attracted to death before life. We are allowed to be attracted to the light of God within a sister though, it is wanted by God, it pleases Him. The light within her is loving God, Is loving the light within you, is the love inside her, the life inside her.

It is we who have to choose the light before darkness over and over again, we must clean and heal the eye that can see the light with the aid of Jesus

22 The eye is the lamp of the body. If your eyes are good, your whole body will be full of light. 23 But if your eyes are bad, your whole body will be full of darkness. If then the light within you is darkness, how great is that darkness!…:

The light is there but we may get distracted by the chores on earth.

Many are those who spend 60 percent of their time on earth on matters of the earth, but little or nothing on the Kingdom of Gods light

5And this is the message we have heard from Him and announce to you: God is light, and in Him there is no darkness at all.
