Being "saved"

I notice you are saved my friend, so you know the answers, belonging to a group does not save us, belonging to a denomination doesn't save us, going to a church kuriakon, doesn't save us, when we are saved we are added to the true church ekklesia.
To be saved we need to be Born Again of spirit and water.
John 3:1-21 (NKJV)
1 There was a man of the Pharisees named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews.
2 This man came to Jesus by night and said to Him, "Rabbi, we know that You are a teacher come from God; for no one can do these signs that You do unless God is with him."
3 Jesus answered and said to him, "Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God."
4 Nicodemus said to Him, "How can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter a second time into his mother's womb and be born?"
5 Jesus answered, "Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God.
6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.
7 Do not marvel that I said to you, 'You must be born again.'
8 The wind blows where it wishes, and you hear the sound of it, but cannot tell where it comes from and where it goes. So is everyone who is born of the Spirit."

10 Jesus answered and said to him, "Are you the teacher of Israel, and do not know these things?
11 Most assuredly, I say to you, We speak what We know and testify what We have seen, and you do not receive Our witness.
12 If I have told you earthly things and you do not believe, how will you believe if I tell you heavenly things?
13 No one has ascended to heaven but He who came down from heaven, that is, the Son of Man who is in heaven.
14 And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of Man be lifted up,
15 that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life.
16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.
17 For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.
18 He who believes (who is born again) in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
19 And this is the condemnation, that the light has come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.
20 For everyone practicing evil hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his deeds should be exposed.
21 But he who does the truth comes to the light, that his deeds may be clearly seen, that they have been done in God."
Romans 10:6-10 (NKJV)
6 But the righteousness of faith speaks in this way, "Do not say in your heart, 'Who will ascend into heaven?' " (that is, to bring Christ down from above)
7 or, " 'Who will descend into the abyss?' " (that is, to bring Christ up from the dead).
8 But what does it say? "The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart" (that is, the word of faith which we preach):
9 that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.
10 For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
We cannot work or earn our salvation, in a group or on our own, it is a Free Gift from God, through Faith in Jesus.
When we are saved we are added to the Body of Christ, we are adopted into God's family, we didn't join the group, God called us, we didn't call Him, He called us to be part of His chosen Eternal family, the Body of Christ, the ekkesia.

your not saved until you endure 2 the end, don't listern 2 this "once saved always saved" doctrine, its fake!! theirs still many hurdles u gotta go through, still many trials 2 go through, this is just the sanctification period!!

Being saved (past tense) is having Jesus Christ himself living on the inside of you! A person is not "a son of God" unless you have "the Son of God" living in you!
2Co 13:5 Examine yourselves, to see whether you are in the faith. Test yourselves. Or do you not realize this about yourselves, that Jesus Christ is in you?—unless indeed you fail to meet the test!

Greetings in the Lord,
My brother, Brother Paul has laid out good scriptures for you to reference and mediate on.
We can only testify to what we have seen, heard and felt.
So, with that being said...
For me, my baptism of the Water came as a white rain and it soaked me to the bone, in the spiritual, but in the flesh I was as dry as a bone. I saw it with my eyes, and I felt it on my body and even my clothes were soaked and sagging, they felt heavy hanging on me.
My baptism of the Spirit.
I was confiding in the Lord and mediating on His Word and I hear a voice ask me,
"Would you die for me?"
"Yes my Lord, you did it for me. It would be an honor."
Immediately in front of me I saw a black sleeve and a gun in hand. I was shot at point blank range through the heart. The blow sent me backwards 3 steps. My hand over my chest and gasping to breath, 3 hard gasps and my breathing was restored whole.
All praise, glory and honor be unto God. Amen

He found me with a 38 to my head...

Praise God he meant me there on the floor, with open arms he recieved me; and I lay that 38 down. I came up weightless and sin free.
When the Lord makes you free, you are free indeed.

Amen!! I'm glad he saved you from the brink, we all have a testimony!! he saved me also from 18yrs of depression!! all thanks to God!!
