Being Thankful to God

You know when you have been praying about something for as long as you can remember, and it just doesn't seem to happen but you can't stop believing that someday, it will, hesitating if it is that you have faith or that it is you are a fool, anyway, when it finally happens, knowing that you never deserved it, you don't know whether to cry or laugh...you can't even tell if you are awake or you are dreaming, but you know, that God finally answered, and you can't stop thanking Him, and that is why I'm posting my thanksgiving.


“It is a good thing to give thanks unto the Lord…” (Psalm 92:1)

"Oh, that men would give thanks to the LORD for His goodness, And for His wonderful works to the children of men! For He satisfies the longing soul, And fills the hungry soul with goodness." Psalm 107:8-9

"Praise the LORD! Oh, give thanks to the LORD, for He is good! For His mercy endures forever. Who can utter the mighty acts of the LORD? Who can declare all His praise?" Psalm 106:1-2

"I will praise God's name in song and glorify him with thanksgiving." Psalm 69:30

The Bible provides a record of many people thanking the Lord…
King Solomon expressed gratitude for Divine faithfulness and goodness - 1 Kings 8:14-21
Thanking God for food - Deuteronomy 8:10, John 6:11
King David thanked God after winning a battle - 2 Samuel 22:1-51, Psalm 98:1
…and many others

"Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God." Phil. 4:6

"As you have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him, rooted and built up in Him and established in the faith, as you have been taught, abounding in it with thanksgiving." Colossians 2:6-7 (NKJV)

Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you. 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 (NKJV)

"Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name." Psalm 100:4

People were rebuked for not thanking God for their harvest, see Jeremiah 5:24-25

If people withheld their praise to God, the stones would have cried out. See Luke 19:37-40

Thank you Father that you are good, and that your mercy is everlasting. (Psalm 100:5).

Thank you Lord that you are very compassionate and merciful. (James 5:11)

Thank you Father that every good and perfect gift is from above, and comes down from You, Father. (James 1:17).

Father, I thank you that your divine power has given me all things that pertain to life and godliness. (2 Peter 1:3).

I thank you God that you are for me, not against me. If you did not spare your own Son, but delivered Him up for me, I realise that you will also freely give me all things together with Your Son. (Romans 8:31,32).

I thank you Father that you give good things to those who ask You! I thank you that you give the Holy Spirit to those who ask you! (Matthew 7:11; Luke 11:13).

I thank you Father that I can ask, and I will receive. Thank you Father that you will give me whatever I ask you in Jesus' name! (Matthew 7:7; John 16:23)

Thank you for this post it has put things in perspective for me today....I was groaning within myself about unanswered prayer.

We have so very much to be thankful for.

Most of all for the amazing gift of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Greetings to all you wonderful creatures who praise the name JESUS CHRIST, He lives forever more.

An aunty of mine, who has just recently been born again (like about 3 months ago) while we were praying together this afternoon, had her first vision from God. Shiela thought she was seeing a burst of colour in her head because she was pressing her fingers slightly against her eyes, but when she removed her fingers and tried to open her eyes, a bright light appeared in front of her eyes and she saw a beautiful white flower begin to bud and bloom and open up right out of the blue and green backround, then gold began shooting out of the middle of the flower toward me.

At the time I had just mentioned a few names of people and began praying for them as the Holy Spirit was leading. When my aunty told me this I was very very excited and told her she just had her first vision from God.

I am so thankful to the Lord for what He is doing in her life and the way he has changed her heart! I love you Jesus, what a GREAT PLEASURE it is to witness You first hand in another's life! Thank you Lord for allowing me to see that.

My husband is busy sliding and slotting right into his authentic position in this home, boy am I gonna have a take off here. Lord my seat belt is fastened and I'm ready.

I feel as if I am witnessing people all around me open up like that flower and just bloom bloom bloom and their faith is growing and it is so AWESOME man, Lord I am sooooo greeedy for You, give me more more more in Jesus namem - Amen
