Blood transfusions

As a registered nurse I have seen blood used on many occasions in lifesaving procedures
I have also seen blood cause disease and have serious adverse effects

What are your thoughts on using blood products ?

Does the Bible give us any direction for today?
Or is it all part of the old law?

Just very interested in hearing your thoughts.

I cannot fail to say when thinking about blood.....Praise Lord for His precious Son who shed His blood to save us.

The blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanseth us from all sin

I know there is power in blood. Its a common theme throughout the old testament, and Jesus delivers us with the power of HIS blood. If someone were to receive the blood of an evil person, not sure how it would affect that person, but if you had faith, you could pray for the blood to be pure and healthy, and I believe faith and Christ would make it so. For nonbelievers with no one to pray for it, not sure what happens.
