Blue Skies

[Mark of Faith]

As I was getting going today I was reminded of a little event a few weeks back. I have suffered much with depression, and although most of the time it has lifted, occasionally I struggle a bit in the morning.

A short while back I was having one of those mornings..tearful, ungrateful, perhaps a little resentful, certainly quite full of self pity.
I sat in the small conservatory, and I knew I needed help.
So I prayed...I don't know what I prayed, but I asked the Lord for His comfort and help.

Then, I looked up, and, totally unnoticed until then, I saw that the sky was a beautifully radiant blue. I was filled with happiness and peace.

Sometimes the blessings are right there in front of us, it just takes a nudge from Jesus to make us see them.

Amen brother. When GOD created the earth, He surely decorated it with a beautiful sky! He even dimmed it gray with gloomy clouds that pour out rain and water the nature below the skies. Then when the sun shines again, our hearts are rejoiceful again for the sunshine. Especially after a long period of rain and no sun. Ironic how this relates to our trials in life? When the long time burden is finally lifted, the light shines and we have peace and joy within our hearts.

It is amazing that after a storm, when the clouds clear and the sun comes out, everything looks so much greener than it did before! I certainly believe that everything in nature has some message that God wants to impart to us.
