The issue is, not understanding something, because its not taught anymore.

Let me show you., reader.

"born again"..

What is that?

That is the SPIRIT, in you..........that has become BIRTHED by God's Holy Spirit, into God Himself, as "God is A Spirit".

See that Spiritual = Birth? That is the CHRISTian........ and that is not your body, or your mind or your BEHAVIOR.

Notice.

You are a Spirit, who lives in a body, and you have a soul.

So, the Spirit, is the real you, that is eternal, which was separated from God, by sin.

When God deals with your sin, through the Cross of Christ, He then gives your SPIRIT the "new Birth", and your SPIRIT is born again, as "the new creation IN CHRIST".... not your body or your mind.

Christian, you'll get a NEW Body, and your mind has to be RENEWED....

So, its the born again Spirit = this is the "Son/Daughter of God".. and there is no sin found there.

The problem, is understanding that its your BORN AGAIN Spirit, that is become "in Christ" "one with God'.

And until you understand this, then you will THINK of yourself as "what i did, is who i am= Christian",
"What i do, is who i am = Christian"., and in fact, its your Born Again SPIRIT that is the "Son/Daughter of God"., that is the "new Creation IN Christ."

John 3:3 Jesus answered and said to him, Amen, Amen, I say unto thee, Except one be born from above, he cannot see the kingdom of God.
4 Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born being an old man? can he enter a second time into the womb of his mother, and be born?
5 Jesus answered, Amen, Amen, I say unto thee, Except one be born of water and Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.
6 What is born of the flesh is flesh; and what is born of the Spirit is spirit.
7 Marvel not that I said to thee, Ye must be born from above.
8 The Spirit breathes where he wills, and thou hear his voice, but know not from where he comes, and to where he goes: so is everyone born of the Spirit.

Acts 10:40 HIM God raised the third day, and gave him to be made manifest,
41 not to all the people, but to witnesses chosen before of God, to us, who ate and drank with him after he rose from the dead.
42 And he charged us to preach to the people, and to testify that this is he ordained of God as Judge of living and dead.
43 To him all the prophets witness, that through his name every one that believes unto him receives remission of sins.
44 While Peter yet spoke these words, the Holy Spirit fell on all that heard the word.
45 And they of the circumcision that believed were amazed, who came with Peter, because that on the nations also was poured out the gift of the Holy Spirit.
46 For they heard them speak with tongues, and magnify God. Then answered Peter,
47 Can anyone forbid the water, that these should not be baptized, who have received the Holy Spirit as well as we?
48 And he commanded them to be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ. Then asked they him to tarry certain days.

47 Can anyone forbid the water, that these should not be baptized, who have received the Holy Spirit as well as we?

Jesus is Salvation.

He shed His Blood, which is required by God to provide : Redemption... as ..... John 3:16

Nothing else is accepted by God ... John 14:6

Hebrews 9:22

Acts 19:1 And it came to pass, that, while Apollos was at Corinth, Paul having passed through the upper regions came to Ephesus, and found certain disciples:
2 and he said unto them, Whether ye received the Holy Spirit when ye believed? And they said unto him, Nay, we did not so much as hear whether there is a Holy Spirit.
3 And he said, Into what then were ye baptized? And they said, Into the baptism of John.
4 And Paul said, John baptized a baptism of repentance, saying to the people that they should believe unto him that should come after him, that is, unto Jesus.
5 And when they heard this, they were baptized into the name of the Lord Jesus.
6 And when Paul had laid hands upon them, the Holy Spirit came on them; and they spoke with tongues, and prophesied.
7 And they were in all about twelve men.

6 And when Paul had laid hands upon them, the Holy Spirit came on them; and they spoke with tongues, and prophesied.

No one you'll ever meet, has met an Apostle, who "laid hands on them" so that they "received the Holy Spirit".

But, if you take a time machine back to the "ACTS of the Apostle",... you can look for them, and they can do that for you.

Or you could do this..

Read : John 20:22, and you'll find that 11 Apostles received the Holy Spirit, = and none of then spoke in Tongues, and none of them were water baptized, and Jesus laid hands on NONE of them.

So....Lets now look at a few verses, for some clarification...

Paul said..>"Jesus sent me not to water baptizes".

Here's another one..

Jesus said... "All that believe in me, i give unto them Eternal Life, and they shall never go to Hell (perish).."

Jesus said.., "you must be born again"

Jesus said.."all the do not believe that i am the Messiah, the Savior, shall die in your sins".

Acts 2:37 Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and the rest of the apostles, [Men] Brethren, what shall we do?
38 And Peter said unto them, Repent and be baptized each of you in the name of Jesus Christ unto remission of your sins; and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.
39 For to you is the promise, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, as many as the Lord our God shall call unto him.
40 And with many other words he testified, and exhorted them, saying, Be saved from this crooked generation.
41 They then that received his word were baptized: and in that day were added about three thousand souls.

John 3:5 Jesus answered, Amen, Amen, I say unto thee, Except one be born of water and Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.

John 3:5 . . I say unto you: except one be born of water and the Spirit, he cannot
enter into the kingdom of God.

The water part of that procedure is explained in the very next chapter of John's
gospel where it's depicted as a supernatural kind of water; and it's not for washing,
rather, it's a beverage and it's for drinking.

John 4:10-14 . . If you knew the gift of God and who it is that asks you for a
drink, you would have asked him and he would have given you living water.
Whoever drinks the water I give him will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give him
will become in him a spring of water welling up to eternal life.

And again:

John 7:37-38 . . If anyone is thirsty, let him come to me and drink. Whoever
believes in me, as the scripture has said, streams of living water will flow from
within him.

The best part about living water is its price. There's no cost; none at all; and it's
available on request. All that anyone has to do is RSVP Christ and let him know
they're interested.

Rev 22:17 . . Let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the
water of life freely.

The source of living water is neither on earth nor in the rain. The source is in
Heaven itself.

Rev 22:1 . . And he showed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal,
proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb.
_

John 3:5 . . I say unto you: except one be born of water and the Spirit, he cannot
enter into the kingdom of God.

TRUE.

You have to be born again......as you were born already of your mother when her "water broke".

So, that is your earth birth..

Now you have to be born again Spiritually, ... "by my Spirit sayeth the Lord"....... as that is birth #2.

Well; for sure the Spirit birth isn't speaking of a liturgical ritual because plenty of
verses testify to it as a miraculous act of the hand of God whereby folks are given a
new beginning.

2Cor 5:17 . . If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation

Gal 6:15 . . For neither is circumcision anything, nor uncircumcision, but a new
creation.

Eph 2:10 . .We are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus

Eph 4:24 . . Put on the new man, created to be like God

Col 3:9-10 . . You have put on the new man, which is being renewed in
knowledge in the image of its creator.

I've actually had someone tell me that they don't need a new beginning because
they're satisfied with themselves just as they are. Well; I sympathize, but the fact
is, the Spirit birth about which Jesus spoke is a requirement rather than an option.

John 3:7 . . .You must be born again.

The significance of water in salvation ...
death, burial, resurrection
Romans 6:1 What shall we say then? Are we to continue in sin that grace may abound?
2 By no means! How can we who died to sin still live in it?
3 Do you not know that all of us who have been baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death?
4 We were buried therefore with him by baptism into death, in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, we too might walk in newness of life.
5 For if we have been united with him in a death like his, we shall certainly be united with him in a resurrection like his.

Colossians 2:12 having been buried with him in baptism, in which you were also raised with him through faith in the powerful working of God, who raised him from the dead.
13 And you, who were dead in your trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh, God made alive together with him, having forgiven us all our trespasses,
14 by cancelling the record of debt that stood against us with its legal demands. This he set aside, nailing it to the cross.

I don't know if water baptism is required to be saved, but even if it isn't. We are told to do it in several places, by a few different people, including Jesus and Paul.
So then, even if it's not required, why wouldn't you want to do it?

It seems some people are so dead set against it, that they don't want anyone to get baptized no matter what.

Hebrews 6:1 Therefore let us leave the elementary doctrine of Christ and go on to maturity, not laying again a foundation of repentance from dead works and of faith toward God,
2 and of instruction about washings, the laying on of hands, the resurrection of the dead, and eternal judgment.
3 And this we will do if God permits.

aint this the truth, once I got born again the very first thing I wanted so badly was to be water baptized. I did it in my street clothes in the middle of winter very cold outside I had to drive home soaking wet and loved every minute of it.

John 3:16 “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.
17 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him.
Romans 1:16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek.
17 For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith for faith, as it is written, “The righteous shall live by faith.”

Mark 16:15 And he said to them, Go into all the world, and preach the gospel to the whole creation.
16 Who hath believed and is baptized shall be saved; but who hath disbelieved shall be condemned.
17 And these signs shall follow them that have believed: in my name shall they cast out demons, speak with tongues;
18 and in their hands they shall take up serpents, and if they drink aught deadly, it shall in now wise hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.
19 So then the Lord Jesus, after he had spoken to them, was taken up into heaven, and sat down at the right hand of God.
20 And THEY went forth, and preached everywhere, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word by the signs that followed.
