I was just thinking back to the day of my conversion, and I thought about when we were travelling up to the event being held.

A brother, as we were chatting, asked me if I'd like him to pray for me. My reply was: "No, I don't believe we should bother God about that."

Thinking back I'm amazed how I said that, for now I know that God longs, yearns, and cries out for me and everyone to come to Him and spend time with Him. He cares about the big things in our lives (such as whether we are saved or not, whether we live or die) but also in the little things.

When we are His, He rejoices over us, sings over us, and loves us.

God bless,

Mark.

"later...when it's important"

Satan *loves* to make us think for whatever reason that we cannot or should not approach the Lord. But the truth is, if you're not talking to God about your life, you're probably not really including His input regarding it either. Nothing bothers God -- except your silence.

We all make the mistake in the beginning of our journey with God and I'm glad that you posted this. It will prevent the new Christians to make the same mistake since they will learn from ours.

I also like the statement from Janette:
Nothing bothers God -- except your silence.
It is so true, I never thought of it in this way.

Thanks for posting.

Blessings!

So many of us have so little understanding of Gods infinity when we get saved. While we may not admit it, our natural tendency is to think of God's capabilities in terms of our own. We can't fathom His infinity, so we unintentionally try to confine Him to the limits of our intelligence.

It takes most of us a long time to get our arms around the concept of infinity because it is impossible to grasp it fully with our limited understanding. But, as our knowledge of God grows through Bible study and fellowship with Him and His people, our understanding of His infinity grows too.

I'm in agreement with a big amen to all the responses, even the OP (original post). I've learned this just a mere moment ago in my life that GOD loves us no matter what, literally and He wants to hear us speak to Him no matter what, no matter where and no matter what you are doing, literally! If your in the middle of sinning consciously, He still wants us to pray to Him! Of course you'd expect to cry to be delivered from temptation if your sinning at the moment.

The devil is the father of all lies and these doubts like all doubts come from the devil himself.

John 8:44
Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.

There use to be a time in my life when I felt that I didn't deserve GOD'S love, undeserved kindness, or HIS mercy.

And so therefore, who am I pray to HIM. The nerve of me to ask anything of GOD when in turn I seem to be doing nothing for HIM or others.

Of coarse I was wrong! {Then}

For you see, Satan works in mysterious ways, too!

And one of his ways is to trick us into believing we don't need GOD or to make us feel so low that we may feel to a shamed to go to GOD.

Satan wanted me to continue to feel that way! Because, as long as I felt that way, I would continue to have nothing to do with GOD.

I can now happily say I am no longer that person!

Not a day goes by that I do not pray to The Almighy GOD. Or long to do the work HE wants me to do. I search & long for it as one may search & long for gold.
