Have you ever considered why the Bible talks about clothing in a spiritual way? I am still trying to figure out any correlations here.

There are several verses in Revelation that talk about the saints will be clothed in white Robes.

Rev 3:5; 'He who overcomes will thus be clothed in white garments; and I will not erase his name from the book of life, and I will confess his name before My Father and before His angels.

Rev 7:13; Then one of the elders answered, saying to me, "These who are clothed in the white robes, who are they, and where have they come from?"

The Bible says we need to "wash" our robes. How do we do that?

Rev 22:14; Blessed are those who wash their robes, so that they may have the right to the tree of life, and may enter by the gates into the city.

Jude warns about garments that are "polluted by the flesh".

Jude 1:22; And have mercy on some, who are doubting;
Jude 1:23; save others, snatching them out of the fire; and on some have mercy with fear, hating even the garment polluted by the flesh.

James says our old earthly garments will wear out.

Jas 5:1; Come now, you rich, weep and howl for your miseries which are coming upon you.
Jas 5:2; Your riches have rotted and your garments have become moth-eaten.
Jas 5:3; Your gold and your silver have rusted; and their rust will be a witness against you and will consume your flesh like fire. It is in the last days that you have stored up your treasure!

Jesus says some people in the church have "soiled" their garments.

Rev 3:4; 'But you have a few people in Sardis who have not soiled their garments; and they will walk with Me in white, for they are worthy.

It seems only those with clean garments are "worthy" to walk with Jesus.

Matt 22:11; "But when the king came in to look over the dinner guests, he saw a man there who was not dressed in wedding clothes,
Matt 22:12; and he *said to him, 'Friend, how did you come in here without wedding clothes?' And the man was speechless.
Matt 22:13; "Then the king said to the servants, 'Bind him hand and foot, and throw him into the outer darkness; in that place there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.'
Matt 22:14; "For many are called, but few are chosen."

It seems we will have to be dressed appropriately for the wedding feast.

I'm still putting this together, but I was wondering if anyone had any thoughts on this?
What are these garments? How do they get washed? How do they get soiled? How do we know if we are wearing the right wedding clothes?

Rev 7:14; I said to him, "My lord, you know." And he said to me, "These are the ones who come out of the great tribulation, and they have washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.

We used to sing an old hymn, it asked the question... "are you washed in the blood of the Lamb?" There really isn't a verse in the Bible that says "we" are washed by the blood of the lamb, it says our robes are.

edit: Now that I think about it, the song did say.. "are your garments spotless, are they white as snow"?

Yes, for those who consider christanity racist for white people, with white being proclaimed as the color of righteousness, I think it merely means washed most thoroughly. As in the washing away of sins.

Mark 9:2 And after six days Jesus taketh with him Peter, and James, and John, and bringeth them up into a high mountain apart by themselves: and he was transfigured before them;
9:3 and his garments became glistering, exceeding white, so as no fuller on earth can whiten them.

Acts 10:30 And Cornelius said, Four days ago, until this hour, I was keeping the ninth hour of prayer in my house; and lo, a man stood before me in bright apparel,
10:31 and saith, Cornelius, thy prayer is heard, and thine alms are remembered before God.

Luke 24:4 And it came to pass, while they were perplexed thereabout, [and] lo, two men stood by them in dazzling apparel:
24:5 and as they were affrighted and bowed down their faces unto the earth, they said unto them, Why seek ye the living one among the dead?

Rev 3:15 “‘I know your works: you are neither cold nor hot. Would that you were either cold or hot!
3:16 So, because you are lukewarm, and neither hot nor cold, I will spit you out of my mouth.
3:17 For you say, I am rich, I have prospered, and I need nothing, not realizing that you are wretched, pitiable, poor, blind, and naked.
3:18 I counsel you to buy from me gold refined by fire, so that you may be rich, and white garments so that you may clothe yourself and the shame of your nakedness may not be seen, and salve to anoint your eyes, so that you may see.
3:19 Those whom I love, I reprove and discipline, so be zealous and repent.

The tabernacle in the wilderness
Exodus 26:1 “Moreover, you shall make the tabernacle with ten curtains of fine twined linen and blue and purple and scarlet yarns; you shall make them with cherubim skillfully worked into them.
Exodus 38:16 All the hangings around the court were of fine twined linen.
38:17 And the bases for the pillars were of bronze, but the hooks of the pillars and their fillets were of silver. The overlaying of their capitals was also of silver, and all the pillars of the court were filleted with silver.
38:18 And the screen for the gate of the court was embroidered with needlework in blue and purple and scarlet yarns and fine twined linen. It was twenty cubits long and five cubits high in its breadth, corresponding to the hangings of the court.

Of priests
Leviticus 6:10 And the priest shall put on his linen garment and put his linen undergarment on his body, and he shall take up the ashes to which the fire has reduced the burnt offering on the altar and put them beside the altar.
Lev 6:11 Then he shall take off his garments and put on other garments and carry the ashes outside the camp to a clean place.

Of the appearance of God - Yeshua to the prophets at various times

Daniel 10:5 I lifted up my eyes and looked, and behold, a man clothed in linen, with a belt of fine gold from Uphaz around his waist.
10:6 His body was like beryl, his face like the appearance of lightning, his eyes like flaming torches, his arms and legs like the gleam of burnished bronze, and the sound of his words like the sound of a multitude.

Of the Church and of the saints
Rev 19:7 Let us rejoice and be exceeding glad, and we will give him the glory: for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his wife hath made herself ready.
Rev 19:8 And it was given her that she array herself in fine linen bright, pure: for the fine linen is the righteous acts of the saints.
Rev 19:9 And he saith to me, Write, Blessed those bidden to the marriage supper of the Lamb. And he saith to me, These are the true words of God.

Eph 5:25 Husbands, love the wives, even as the Christ also loved the church, and gave himself up for it;
5:26 that he might sanctify it, having cleansed it by the washing of the water with the word,
5:27 that himself might present to himself the church glorious, not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing; but that it be holy and without blemish.
