Synopsis:

Portraying Jesus as a black man, the film explores the last 48 hours of his life and suggests that his crucifixion may have been racially motivated.

Now I haven't seen this movie but I wanted to post about it. It's in the movie companion book that Hollywood Video puts out (Dec. 2006). What I wrote above is what was in the book.

I don't care if Jesus was black, green, purple or whatever color someone wants to say He was. But I do care that someone would dare suggest that He was killed because of His skin color.

Why do people do things like this? Has anyone seen this movie?

the cross

I have not seen it nor do I even want to see it. I know what the Bible says and it is the absolute truth. I believe in nothing else.

Hollywood just wants to make more money I guess.

We know the truth and the truth we know sets us free. John 8.32.

Praise God for sending His beloved Son to die for us to give us everlasting life.

God bless  :rainbow: :rose:

I would not waste my time with such worthless movies. Why bother? Do you gain anything from it that will edify you and mature you? Does it glorify GOD? No.

I do care if Jesus was potrayed as black because this is against Scripture's description of Him being born a Jew (who are not born 'black' by default). I do not care about skin color, but the way anything biblical is told and tampered with. Its ludicrous that such claims are made. Unfortunately this will not end until His 2nd coming.

I agree with what both LLJ and Chad has said.

If only these people knew who they were writing about. It is so ridiculous. It really upsets me that they would do this. The are so many films that have come out to make fun of the Lord.

We can only pray for these people.

They are talking about the Holy One, and their motives are to make money like LLJ said. It's so sad what the world has come to...
