The time is near and the special events are here! I would like to introduce to you Talk Jesus contests! Please read carefully below on how to win various prizes (yes, only GOD related prizes!)

The Contests:
The contests I will start will include prizes such as free Bibles, Talk Jesus (or other Christian related) clothing, Christian books, music CD, DVD and software. This is all sponsored by me as a gift to all members. The main purpose is to create more fun, excitement on Talk Jesus through encouragement (spend more time in Christian environment), motivation (seek GOD more through Godly events as these), edification (contests will include events as live Bible quizzes for example).

What type of contests?
Although not 100% sure just yet, some ideas will include

Rules
A winner is not eligible for prizes more than once every 6 months, but may participate for fun. You may not register under new accounts to refer your first, original account to win referral prizes. If you do, your accounts will all be closed.

When Does the Contest Start?
Very soon...preferably first week of January to start off the new year nicely and by then, have it all fully prepared on my end. Also, will give members a chance to reply here with other ideas as well.

Are you serious?
Well, yes. I'm willing to give away such free Christian items. GOD provides for all. So, therefore all good comes from GOD alone, in Jesus Christ. This is your opportunity to bless each other as well as ultimately glorify our Jesus Christ! Amen.

How often will these contests happen?
Not confirmed yet, although I'm thinking once a month with a hefty prize would be suitable.

How Do I Claim My Prize?
Who said you won yet? Just kidding. You will need to private message me your address. I will try my best to be able to reward those overseas (outside U.S.) but it may or may not work. Please keep in mind that if you win and you live in in the smallest town called WhoWhatWhereAmI City in the land of Canaan, FedEx might not find you.

What Do I Do Now?
Before we launch the contests in January, I am asking you to respond to this thread with your thoughts, ideas, feedback, suggestions and shoe size. Ok, I really don't need your shoe size.

I think it's a good idea, mmm...contests, well.

Let's see...I have an extremely poor memory, it's too awful to mention, so I won't participate in a Bible quiz, but I think the ideas you gave so far concerning the best poster/post is a good one, I have a few friends I'd recommend for that prize.

I think something along the line of a poetry contest in the poetry section would be awesome, I have read a few poems and I think there are some talented people, so that's one idea.

Wow, this is hard! My mind is blank! That's all I can think of now at present.

seems like a grand idea though.
MAYBE you can have one where people put together powerpoint presentations like that one you posted on psalm118:8 (i think it was that.)
cause there are some pretty clever/creative computer people out there.

and i think those crafty chefs, and/or people who are really awesome at cooking scrumptious delights, should be rewarded.

Hey I think this sounds like an awesome idea! This will definitely open our minds to new ideas!

Hey Chad maybe one of your contests could be "most creative way to evangelize" or "most appealing Christian catch phrases" (example: Got Jesus?) or how many new people we have brought to Jesus throughout the month.

An art competition might be nice, I noticed some great artwork done by members on the site. You might be able to have catagories/themes on glorifying his name etc...

Best joke/riddle award or best story award would also be good.

Sorry, I'm getting a bit daft now! Sounds fun, some people might be a bit shy of the spot light though.

Just a query are Christians allowed to play say a Christmas raffle or lotto if it isn't for money but to chose a charity to donate to? If it is ok that might be a nice random competition to do.

I'd better stop before I fill a page of A4!
