But you, Bethlehem Ephrathah, though you are small among the clans of Judah, out of you will come for me one who will be ruler over Israel, whose origins are from of old, from ancient times.

Heavenly Father, We stand in awe of Your sovereign plan, beautifully unfolded in the prophecy of Micah 5:2. In the simplicity of Bethlehem, You chose the birthplace of the Messiah, the Ruler who would hold authority over Your people. The revelation of His ancient origins fills our hearts with wonder and gratitude. As we approach the celebration of Jesus' birth, may we reflect on the significance of Bethlehem, the cradle of our salvation.
