We finally had a sunny day after a long period of rainy days.
My friends had asked me to go with them to visit their sister.
We are all older widows and I love to go with my friends.
Their sister Maggie cooked a boiled dinner that day.
It was delicious. Pies for desert, wonderful.
Maggie's son came and stayed for lunch.
He asked some questions about different religions.
My friend, Darlene told him it's the Lord and what he did for you.
He was going to have some surgery soon and she asked
him did he mind if we prayed for him. He said that would be great.
We all prayed, with Darlene leading the prayer.
In the prayer, she told the salvation story. She told what Jesus did
on the cross and him rising from the dead.
Darlene prayed for him and told him how much Jesus loves him.
Her sister was very touched by the prayer. He thanked us and talked for
awhile and left.
That day was such a blessing. I had some wonderful fellowship.
It was a witness to other people.
