This is something I'm lacking in studying history.
I like history documentaries as much as I like good Bible docs.
What, if anything, do they provide?
Should we avoid them?
IMO, things not divinely inspired should be kept separate with a fine line.
If pro, why?
If against, why?

I don't know much about papyrus, codex and the like although I think that a good 101 class for textual criticism of the Scriptures would do us well. I will do a search and share if I find something notable.

@Mister According to some general info, 20% of what was found were copies of OT scripture.
Some books were copies more times than others which indicates a preference for those vs others.
I would say those are worth pursuing.

Hello,
The dead sea scrolls proved the accuracy of the King James Bible. A lot of Bible scoffers that claimed the word of God was changed over the years were finally shot down. You don't hear that anymore. With the book of Isaiah complete amongst the scrolls, it proved the prophecies about the coming of Christ accurate and did happen.

Here are a some sources on the dead sea scrolls:
Blue Letter Bible Q7
DSS summary
Encyclopedia
Searching this out has lead me to some really odd groups and articles. I think I'll let it lie there.
