Delayed Resurrection

Can the resurrection delayed by three days after Christ's death on the cross fit the bill of "the Messiah, the Son of the living God", a.k.a., "my Church"; or of "God of the living, not of the dead", whom "not even death will ever be able to overcome"?

(Matt. 16: 13-28; 22: 29-32)

Rather than expand, let me simplify the question.

"Is 'resurrection on the third day' consistent with the identity and authority of Jesus Christ as defined and elaborated?"

While JESUS' body was in the grave HE was busy paying the wages of sin; taking the keys of death from Satan; and establishing dominion over all creation for us.

Yes It certainly does fit and identify with HIS identity and authority.

On the contrary!

What fits Jesus Christ's divine identity and absolute authority is once and for all demonstrated in his death on the cross with the diacritical marks of "the blood and the water" which poured out from his side producing vision of the living Christ, a.k.a., eternal life.

The proof of the pudding is in the eating! The possibilities are immense for personal experience. Blessings.
