Due to a conversation last night im interested to find out where people had their first encounter with God which led them to be a christian .

Actually the Lord came to me when I was about five years old, and shared with me the basics of His will and what to do to be in it; on my bed in the middle of the night. It was way awesome when I read the Bible years later and saw His word is true!! It has kept me going my whole life.

I was watching a television program where I heard a gospel presentation. then, I prayed a few days later in my room. I would have never of heard how to receive Christ in the church I attended as a boy. It was and is completely dead

I got to know God as a tiny child being brought up by Christian parents. I was actually saved at a Billy Graham crusade. I was 15, listening to this guy preaching and wondering when Billy Graham was going to show up. The preacher gave an invitation and I instantly went forward.

It had been Billy Graham speaking all the time. I just hadn't known it...lol

I was born again in Benny Hinn's church in Orlando on Aug 21, 1988 in a church service. I didn't do anything, the Holy Spirit did it all. No prayer, no confession of faith. In fact, I didn't really know what happened except I was weeping and suddenly knew the Bible was real.

I was raised in a Methodist church which was not spiritual. However, from time to time, I would feel emotional when I was singing certain Christian songs. I had no idea at the time what this was, but it must have been the Holy Spirit. However, there was no one to talk with about this, and I never asked anyone.

You said, at that time, you had no confession of faith? Since that encounter at the church in Orlando and because of your belief in the Bible, have you since confessed your faith in Jesus Christ to God?
