Dinosaurs?

I recall the God doesn't talk about dogs in the bible, misquito's, flies, etc..so I do not understand your point? For what purpose would it serve?
God's greatest concern is that we get to Heaven and the is why He sent His Son to die for our sins.

Perfectly said daughter. Dinosours will not save us nor redeem us from anything. I believe that GOD destroyed dinosaurs because after the fall of mankind as Bible does state all sin went through all the land and all things (animals, plants, air, people, etc). Dinosaurs being as large and monstriously vicious as they were, became too dangerous to mankind so GOD removed them from the earth.

I beg to differ guys, but the bible does mention what cold be referred to as a dinosour.

  1. Job 3:8
May those who curse days [ Or the sea ] curse that day, those who are ready to rouse Leviathan.
Job 3:7-9 (in Context) Job 3
  2. Job 41:1
"Can you pull in the leviathan [ Possibly the crocodile ] with a fishhook or tie down his tongue with a rope?
Job 41:1-3 (in Context) Job 41
  3. Psalm 74:14
It was you who crushed the heads of Leviathan and gave him as food to the creatures of the desert.
Psalm 74:13-15 (in Context) Psalm 74
  4. Psalm 104:26
There the ships go to and fro, and the leviathan, which you formed to frolic there.
Psalm 104:25-27 (in Context) Psalm 104
  5. Isaiah 27:1
[ Deliverance of Israel ] In that day, the LORD will punish with his sword, his fierce, great and powerful sword, Leviathan the gliding serpent, Leviathan the coiling serpent; he will slay the monster of the sea.
Isaiah 27:1-3 (in Context) Isaiah 27
From these references, it is possible that what was then known as Leviathan, is what we more comonly understand today to have been a plesiosaur, or similar.

here is a short reference I found on the subject also.

And also an article that may interest you.

My point is that when it comes right down to it what does it really matter, Salvation is the key not whether dinasours existed or not.

Genesis 6
15 And this is the fashion which thou shalt make it of: The length of the ark shall be three hundred cubits, the breadth of it fifty cubits, and the height of it thirty cubits.

His question is good. The biggest dinosaur was 40 m high and 42 m long 15 m wide. So please think the question again. it is not a easy one. Encouraging brothers is important ,but please dont be proud of our own wisdom before God.

I think all questions that are asked with an open and honest heart are worthwhile. The Bible bears up to such scrutiny, however it may not answer every question. But I also agree with mymakersdaughter in that we shouldn't lose sight of the big picture - the message of the cross and the new, abundant and eternal life it brings.

definitely, people here all believe God. we have questions but it doesnot mean it has not answer for it . it just means we cant find it.
right?
we love each other.

God is awesome & handles everything - from complicated & intricate to simple & innocent. Sometimes the answers can be so simple & hidden in their simplicity. Based on that & the fact that the Bible does not give details about everything, may I offer an opinion? Not all the animals that went into the ark had to be in the adult stage of their lives.

I know the original question can seem minor when you look at salvation as a whole. I also know that sometimes we throw stumbling blocks in the paths of new Christians (or those who haven't decided) when we don't know answers to questions. Granted, we aren't going to know them all, but I am thankful for this board that can reach so many & thereby tap into the knowledge that God has collectively given.

Salvation is the greater issue..absolutely no question. But thank you for asking what you did with a sincere heart.

I am sorry but I do think it is a poor response to say if it is not concerning salvation whats the point...

I really thinks this makes christians look like brainwashed cultists..

Are we not comanded in the bible to give a answer to our hope? This was not answer but a write off.. If dinosaurs are not your concern in the christian life it would be best not to coment on this. or at the very least be wise in commenting..

People need to be very aware of the fact science does scare christains away..infact it only validates the glory of God...

DRDINO.COM.... Kent Hovind fully explains about dinosaurs and bible and answers all questions on evolution.. He as seminars online that you can watch..

While I do not believe in all that he believes what christian does.. but he is the go to christain man concerning dinosaurs.. it would be worth your time to check out his website

Hey Hebrew11,

I love your comment that science does in fact validate the Glory of God! Nothing annoys me more than people who say that faith and science are not compatible! It's simply NOT true. Nothing in the Bible contradicts scientific facts and laws. And the complexity and order that science discovers just keeps confirming the truth of our amazing creator God.

However I think you're being a bit harsh on some of the people here. Max gave us some excellent scriptures and mymakersdaughter first post really has a valid point (it took me a moment to "get it") but it is true!...why do we wonder so much about dinosaurs, and not about dogs or cats, or koalas, for that matter, when the issues of the ark and fossil records apply to them too.

I'll check out that web-site, thanks

love

I am sorry I do not think my comments were harsh at all., I firmly believe what I stated and stand by it..,

You have to understand nonchristians and people searching read this site as well. and we should be carefull on how we post. not only for their sakes but for ours as well.

Why I believe people get so caught up in dinosaurs is because of evolution and secular man try to prove that invalidates the bible so of course people are curious about the truth of the matter..

was this not a thread started by asking about dinosaurs? not a write off concerning dinosaurs..

I know this subject may be turn off to some people or not of interest to others but I believe it should be treated with the same respect as other threads even if they dont seem like weighty subjects.
