If you are curious about other testimonies, you should look to each person's bio's that like yours has one written. Some are short, some long, but all should in Christ show you how they were brought to Jesus through the Holy Spirit drawing of them to Him!
You can also look to the Forum that is titled Testimonials: Testimonials
First get yourself a Bible, and make sure you find time to read it, and of course praying before doing so! Find time to spend daily with God. Secondly a church. One that finds it important to be based upon Scripture, and one that acts upon it! Difficult to find in these days, for there are many that adapt to the world's ways, and seek increase not by God, but through acts that entertain instead!
Keep praying brother! Write that as a special note to do. Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you. 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 NKJV

Cling to your faith in Christ, and keep your conscience clear. For some people have deliberately violated their consciences; as a result, their faith has been shipwrecked. 1 Timothy 1:19 NLT
Stay in the Word Brother! Don't let others drive a wedge between you and God and His Word!
You say "...my steadfast beliefs are being shaken." How steadfast are they really if what you know is true through the Holy Spirit understanding of God's Word?
I normally say, when in doubt bring it to the Foot of the Cross! Meaning back to where it all began for you in Christ Jesus! Your testimony in Christ Jesus is your foundation! That can't be shaken or denied because you know its truth in Jesus Christ!!!People have a tendency to seem to appear more knowledgeable and so will be wordy to what they believe is doctrinally correct. They will twist doctrines to accommodate what they want to be true, and not what God says is True! That's why you study/read the Word of God!
There are two words that basically explains how this is and how you should be seeking through pray, study, Holy Spirit guidance God's truth.
Eisegesis - Reading into the Bible what you want it to say. Which is probably what you are experiencing from others.
Exegesis - Reading out of biblical text what the author (God) meant. Which is how it should be!
Spend time on your knees in prayer, and He will give you a peace of knowing that in Him you will find rest from these troubles!
Keep the faith, read Ephesians Chapter 4 and in particular this verse: 14 that we should no longer be children, tossed to and fro and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, in the cunning craftiness of deceitful plotting,
You will always be challenged by the World or those who profess to be believers who are really in disguise of who they actually belong to, and it's not Jesus!
Again, keep the faith brother! You are not alone, ever!!!
