Does anybody know the scripture?

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ

Just a quick question, does anybody know the scripture where it speaks about coming to God as you are? You know just not worrying what your like because God will accept you like that? something along those lines...

Id be thankful for any suggestions?

Hope this comes close to what you are asking.

But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him (Hebrews 11:6).

I. When there is something between you and God, does it make it difficult for you to pray?Recognize that while you may keep a secret from a friend, you cannot keep a secret from God.


Hebrews 4:12-13 tells us that God knows the thoughts and intents of our hearts. This refers, not to the Bible but to Jesus Christ.

Hebrews 1:2 says that God has spoken to us by his Son. It can be terrifying to know that "no creature is hidden from Him" but all things are exposed to the eye of Him to whom we must give an account.

II. You can go to God with great confidence that He will not reject you.

When we have sinned, our tendency is to avoid Christ and put up a barrier between us and Him. But this passage in Hebrews 4 tells us that we have a great High Priest who knows all about us, and is there to help us (Hebrews 4:14-16).

Therefore let us approach the throne of grace with boldness, not cowardice (Hebrews 4:16).

The sinner receives mercy.

The needy finds grace.

And the troubled soul finds peace.

There are a number of scriptures that say something like that.

Matthew 11:28-29 might help: 28"Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. 29Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30For my yoke is easy and my burden is light ...

Isaiah 55 in the Old Testament might be worth a look.

There is no other way to come to God than just as you are. You cant make yourself good enough to stand before God. That can only be done by the blood of Christ.

Eph 2:13 But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of of Christ.

Romans 5:6-8
At just the right time Christ died for ungodly people.
He died for us when we had no power of our own.
It is unusual for anyone to die for a godly person.
Maybe someone would be willing to die for a godly person.
But here is how God has shown His love for us.
While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

Romans 3:22-24

22 the righteousness of God through faith in Jesus Christ for all who believe. For there is no distinction: 23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, 24 and are justified by his grace as a gift, through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus

As you can see in the above Scripture, no matter how you approach the Lord Jesus, you are already in need of grace.
