Does God join all marriages together?

People (a man & a woman) get married all the time. I've always wondered if every marriage is joined by God.

That's a really interesting question. I've not considered it before. Certainly, some marriages are unwise, mismatched or destructive. Does that mean that God hasn't joined the husband and wife together?

I guess we have ask what we really mean when we say 'God has joined together'.
